(57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To enable mass production of an ink jet drop generator, thereby reducing costs. A groove (5) forms a liquid (ink) flow path and a discharge port (4) by joining a lid substrate (1) and a substrate (2), and a region (6) is a recording liquid (ink) introduced from an inflow port (3). To form a room for accommodating. Conventionally, the lid substrate (discharge port to flow path to liquid chamber portion) is formed by forming a partition wall portion of a groove and then joining a cover (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 55-109670) or complicated (many steps). ) Although it was formed by using a photolithography process (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 56-123869), in the present invention, it is manufactured by, for example, integral molding of resin.

2. Description of the Related Art A droplet jet recording head having a chamber for accommodating a recording liquid to be introduced and an orifice for communicating with the chamber and discharging the liquid as small droplets is well known. In manufacturing such a droplet jet recording head, a substance insoluble in the liquid is printed and laminated on a substrate to form a partition wall portion of a groove corresponding to the chamber, and then the groove is formed at an upper end of the partition portion. There has been proposed a droplet jet recording head in which holes for forming the chamber and the orifice are formed by joining the above-mentioned covers (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 55-109670). As described above, since the partition of the groove is formed and the cover of the groove is joined to the upper end of the partition, the number of manufacturing steps is large, which is disadvantageous in cost.
As another manufacturing method, there has been proposed a method in which an ink flow path of a head is formed of a photosensitive composition (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. Sho.
This method requires the use of a complicated photolithography process from exposure to phenomena to curing, and has disadvantages such as being disadvantageous in cost.

According to the present invention, by forming a lid substrate in which a flow path, a liquid chamber, and an ink inlet are integrally formed, a heating plate and a lid substrate are laminated to form an ink jet head. The assembly is easier than an ink jet head manufactured by separately forming chambers and the like, and remarkable effects can be obtained in mass production and cost reduction.
