Claims (30)
- 少なくとも6個の炭素原子を含むアルキル基を有する化合物、芳香環を含む化合物、およびこれらの組合せよりなるグループから選択される、モノマー、オリゴマーおよび/またはポリマーインターカラント表面修飾剤を、層状物と接触させることによって形成される剥離可能なインターカレーション物であって、
該表面修飾剤は、マトリックス物に対して反応性を有する官能基を含み、および
該インターカレーション物は、表面修飾剤と層間陽イオンとのモル比が少なくとも1:5であり、かつ層状物に隣接する層間空間において、表面修飾剤の収着および複合を招き、なおかつ表面修飾剤を収着した後の該層状物の隣接する小板間の間隔が少なくとも10Åである、ことを特徴とするインターカレーション物。 - 前記表面修飾剤の濃度が、インターカレーション物での水、表面修飾剤用の有機溶媒、およびモノマーインターカラント表面修飾剤の重量の少なくとも0.1重量%である請求項1に記載のインターカレーション物。
- 前記層状物の乾燥重量の少なくとも1重量%の濃度の、モノマー、オリゴマー、ポリマー、およびこれらの組合せよりなるグループから選択された分子形態の第二インターカラントをさらに含む請求項1または2に記載のインターカレーション物。
- 前記第二インターカラントの濃度が、前記層状物の乾燥重量の少なくとも2重量%である請求項3に記載のインターカレーション物。
- 前記第二インターカラントの濃度が、前記層状物の乾燥重量の少なくとも30重量%である請求項4に記載のインターカレーション物。
- 前記第二インターカラントの濃度が、前記層状物の乾燥重量の10重量%〜60重量%である請求項4に記載のインターカレーション物。
- 前記第二インターカラントの濃度が、前記層状物の乾燥重量の50重量%〜90重量%である請求項5に記載のインターカレーション物。
- 前記第二インターカラントの濃度が、前記層状物の乾燥重量の少なくとも10重量%である請求項3に記載のインターカレーション物。
- 前記第二インターカラントの濃度が、前記層状物の乾燥重量の16重量%〜70重量%である請求項8に記載のインターカレーション物。
- 前記第二インターカラントの濃度が、前記層状物の乾燥重量の16重量%〜35重量%である請求項9に記載のインターカレーション物。
- 前記第二インターカラントの濃度が、前記層状物の乾燥重量の35重量%〜55重量%である請求項9に記載のインターカレーション物。
- 前記第二インターカラントの濃度が、前記層状物の乾燥重量の55重量%〜200重量%である請求項8に記載のインターカレーション物。
- 前記表面修飾剤が、マトリックス物に対して反応性を有する官能基から離間した静電気性官能基を含み、かつ該静電気性官能基が、イオン結合、静電気的結合、キレート形成、水素結合、イオン−双極子、双極子/双極子、ファン・デル・ワールス力およびこれらの組合せよりなるグループから選択される結合様式を介して、フィロシリケート小板の内側表面に複合される請求項1乃至12項のいずれかに記載のインターカレーション物。
- 前記層状物にインターカレーションされる表面修飾剤の量が、前記層状物の乾燥重量の10重量%〜200重量%である請求項1乃至13のいずれかに記載のインターカレーション物。
- 前記層状物にインターカレーションされる表面修飾剤の量が、前記層状物の乾燥重量の15重量%〜80重量%である請求項14に記載のインターカレーション物。
- 前記表面修飾剤と層間陽イオンとのモル比が、1:1〜1:5である請求項15に記載のインターカレーション物。
- 第二インターカラントとフィロシリケート物との重量比が、100グラムのフィロシリケート物に対して、20グラム〜80グラムの第二インターカラントである請求項3乃至12のいずれかに記載のインターカレーション物。
- 前記表面修飾剤と前記層状物の重量比が、1:1〜1:5である請求項17に記載のインターカレーション物。
- 前記層状物にインターカレーションされる表面修飾剤の量が、前記層状物の乾燥重量の10重量%〜200重量%である請求項1に記載のインターカレーション物。
- 前記層状物にインターカレーションされる表面修飾剤の量が、前記層状物の乾燥重量の15重量%〜80重量%である請求項19に記載のインターカレーション物。
- インターカレーション物の製造方法であって、以下の工程、すなわち、
少なくとも6個の炭素原子を含むアルキル基を有する化合物、芳香環を含む化合物、およびこれらの組合せよりなるグループから選択されるインターカラント表面修飾剤を少なくとも2重量%含む組成物と、フィロシリケートとを接触せしめ、
請求項1乃至20のいずれかに記載のインターカレーション物を形成し、および
隣接するフィロシリケート小板間の間隔を少なくとも10Å離間させるに十分な量の該表面修飾剤を、フィロシリケート小板間へインターカレーションする、工程を含み、
かつ該表面修飾剤が、マトリックス物に対して反応性を有する官能基を含む、
ことを特徴とするインターカレーション物の製造方法。 - 前記インターカレーション物が、その総重量の5重量%〜50重量%の水を含んだ水性担体を含む請求項21に記載の方法。
- 前記水の量が、前記インターカレーション物の総重量の10重量%〜40重量%である請求項22記載の方法。
- 前記インターカレーション物が、重合可能なモノマー、重合可能なオリゴマー、ポリマー、およびこれらの組合せよりなるグループから選択された分子形態の第二インターカラントを、該インターカレーション物の少なくとも1重量%の濃度で、さらに含む請求項21乃至23のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記インターカレーション物が、前記インターカレーション物でのフィロシリケートの乾燥重量の10重量%〜200重量%の表面修飾剤を含む請求項21に記載の方法。
- インターカレーションされたフィロシリケートの小板を分離してインターカレーション物を剥離させることによって、剥離物を形成させる工程をさらに含む請求項21乃至25のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記インターカレーション物の大部分が、個々の小板にまで剥離されている請求項26記載の方法。
- その40重量%〜99.95重量%に有機性液状担体を含み、かつその0.05重量%〜60重量%に請求項1乃至20のいずれかに記載のインターカレーション物を含む、ことを特徴とする組成物。
- 前記インターカレーション物の少なくとも1重量%の濃度で、かつ前記インターカレーション物でのフィロシリケートの乾燥重量の少なくとも4重量%の濃度の、重合可能なモノマー、重合可能なオリゴマー、ポリマー、およびこれらの組合せよりなるグループから選択された分子形態の第二インターカラントをさらに含む請求項28に記載の組成物。
- その10重量%〜99.95重量%に熱可塑性ポリマー、熱硬化性ポリマーおよびこれらの組合せよりなるグループから選択されるマトリックスポリマーを含み、かつその0.05重量%〜60重量%に請求項1乃至20のいずれかに記載のインターカレーション物を含む、ことを特徴とする合成物。
