Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.サーマルプリント受けシーティングの印刷可能面域に可動リボンから着色 剤を移転させる方法として: a)サーマルプリント受けシーティングを、サーマルプリントヘッドとして長 尺のものであり且つ実質的に第1の方向に延在する少なくとも1cmの長さを有 している斯ゝるサーマルプリントヘッドの側を通って移動させる工程;及び b)サーマルプリントヘッドが第1方向に対して実質的に法線方向となる第2 の方向に移動させられる間に、着色剤を可動リボンからサーマルプリント受けシ ーティングへ移転させる工程、 を含んで成る、斯ゝる着色剤移転方法。 2.シーティングはサーマルプリントヘッドの側を第2方向に移動し、当該シ ーティング移動は着色剤がリボンからサーマルプリント受けシーティングへ移転 される過程で停止される、請求項1の方法。 3.サーマルプリント受けシーティングが少なくとも38cmの幅を有してい る、請求項1−2の方法。 4.更に、(i)シーティングに対してサーマルプリントヘッドの位置を感知 し、(ii)プリントヘッド係合、着色剤移転、シーティング移送、及びプリント ヘッド線型動作を調整し、そして(iii)サーマルプリントヘッドが第2方向に 移動させられ、そしてシーティングが着色剤移転過程は静止している斯ゝる着色 剤移転過程にあるときにリボンを前進させる工程を含んで成る、請求項1−3の 方法。 5.サーマルプリント受けシーティングが回帰反射性シーティングである、請 求項1−4の方法。 6.請求項1−5の方法によって作成された印刷物品。 7.請求項1の方法によって作成された高速道路標識。 8.可動リボンからサーマルプリント受けシーティングの印刷可能面域上に着 色剤を熱移転させるためのシステムとして: a)実質的に第1の方向に配置された少なくとも1cmの長さLを有する着色 剤移転用の長尺サーマルプリントヘッドであって、長さLに対して実質的に法線 方向にある第2の方向において着色剤をシーティング上に移転させることが出来 る斯ゝるサーマルプリントヘッド; b)サーマルプリントヘッドの側において第1方向にサーマルプリントヘッド を移動させ,そしてシーティングを着色剤を受けるために位置付けるように機能 する移送機構; c)プリントヘッドが着色剤を移転させる過程にあるときに、プリントヘッド を第2方向に移動させる機構;及び d)プリントヘッド係合、着色剤移転、シーティング移送、及びプリントヘッ ド線型動作を調整するための少なくとも1つの制御器、 を含んで成る、斯ゝる着色剤の熱移転システム。 9.更に、着色剤移転の後に高分子フイルム層をサーマルプリント受けシーテ ィングに施す機構を含んで成る、請求項8のシステム。 10.プリントヘッドが4から27cmまでの長さLを有している、請求項8− 9のシステム。
