Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.多数の移動加入者ユニット無線通信システムで信号を処理するための基地局 において、 複合無線周波数(RF)信号として、複数の移動体ユニットから信号を受信 するためのアンテナと、 RF信号の選択された帯域幅を中間周波数(IF)に低域変換して、IF信 号に関してアナログ/デジタル変換を実行するために、アンテナに接続される広 帯域デジタル・チューナ手段であって、広帯域デジタル・チューナ出力信号を供 給する、広帯域デジタル・チューナ手段と、 広帯域チューナ出力信号を受信すべく接続されて、多数のデジタル・チャン ネル信号出力を供給する、デジタル・チャンネル化手段であって、各デジタル・ チャンネル信号出力は、所定のチャンネル帯域幅を有し、且つ移動体ユニットの 1つから受信される信号の1に対応する、デジタル・チャンネル化手段と、 デジタル的に処理されたチャンネル信号出力を供給するための複数のデジタ ル信号処理手段と、 多数のデジタル・チャンネル信号出力と複数のデジタル信号処理手段の間に 配設される、時分割多重交換手段であって、多数のデジタル・チャンネル信号出 力のいずれか1つを、複数のデジタル信号処理手段のいずれか1つに相互接続す るための時分割多重交換手段と、 からなる基地局。 2.移動体ユニットから受信される信号は、空中インターフェース変調を含み、 デジタル信号プロセッサは、空中インターフェース変調を解除する復調器を備え る、請求項1に記載の基地局。 3.デジタル信号処理手段の出力に接続されて、移動電話交換オフィス(MTS O)への更なる送信のために、デジタル的に処理されたチャンネル出力を符号化 するための信号移送符号化手段から更になる、請求項1に記載の基地局。 4.信号移送符号化手段はT1符号器である、請求項3に記載の基地局。 5.広帯域チューナ出力信号を受信すべく接続されて、第2の組の多数のデジタ ル・チャンネル信号出力を供給する、第2のデジタル・チャンネル化手段がら更 になり、第2の組のデジタル・チャンネル信号出力の各々は、前記第1のデジタ ル・チャンネル信号の所定のチャンネル帯域幅とは異なる所定のチャンネル帯域 幅を有し、且つ移動体ユニットの1つから受信される信号の1つに対応する、請 求項1に記載の基地局。 6.RF信号の第2の選択された帯域幅を第2の中間周波数(IF)に低域変換 して、第2のIF信号に関してアナログ/デジタル変換を実行するために、アン テナに接続される第2の広帯域デジタル・チューナ手段であって、第2の広帯域 デジタル・チューナ出力信号を供給する、第2の広帯域デジタル・チューナ手段 と、 第2の広帯域チューナ出力信号を受信すべく接続されて、第 2の組の多数のデジタル・チャンネル信号出力を供給する、第2のデジタル・チ ャンネル化手段であって、第2の組のデジタル・チャンネル信号出力の各々は、 前記第1のデジタル・チャンネル信号の所定の帯域幅とは異なる所定のチャンネ ル帯域幅を有し、且つ移動体ユニットの1つから受信される信号の1に対応する 、第2のデジタル・チャンネル化手段と、 から更になる、請求項1に記載の基地局。 7.第1及び第2の組のデジタル・チャンネル信号は、それぞれ、第1及び第2 の空中インターフェース規格に従って変調される、請求項6に記載の基地局。 8.デジタル信号プロセッサは、前記第1の組のデジタル・チャンネル信号を復 調するための第1の組のデジタル信号プロセッサ手段と、前記第2の組のデジタ ル・チャンネル信号を復調するための第2の組のデジタル信号プロセッサ手段と を含む、請求項7に記載の基地局。 9.前記第1及び第2の空中インターフェース規格は各々、時分割多重(TDM A)、符号分割多重(CDMA)、高度化自動車電話システム(AMPS)、個 人通信システム(PCS)、又は欧州セルラ式自動車電話規格(GSM)のうち の異なるものである、請求項7に記載の基地局。 10.時分割多重交換手段を介して、デジタル・チャンネル信号の1つに現在のと ころ相互接続されていない、未使用のデジタル信号処理手段のリストを維持して 、且つデジタル・チャンネル 出力が、デジタル信号処理手段の1つにまだ割当てられていない移動体ユニット により送信される活性な信号を含む場合にのみ、デジタル・チャンネル出力の1 つに、相互接続すべき未使用のデジタル信号処理手段のリストから、デジタル信 号処理手段を動的に割当てるために、時分割多重交換手段とデジタル信号処理手 段に接続される、基地局コントローラ手段から更になる、請求項1に記載の基地 局。 11.時分割多重交換手段は更に、 データ線を含む時分割多重(TDM)データバスと、 TDMバスに接続されて、TDMバス同期信号及びドライバ・アドレス信号 を発生するための基地局コントローラ手段であって、TDMバス同期信号は、T DMバス上のアクセス時間スロットを識別するのに用いられる、基地局コントロ ーラ手段と、 TDMバス同期信号及びドライバ・アドレス信号を受信し、ドライバ・アド レス信号を格納し、該ドライバ・アドレス信号の値がバス同期信号の値に対応す る場合に、TDMバス上にデジタル・チャンネル信号を表明し、それにより、デ ジタル・チャンネル信号と関連した時間スロットが現在活性であることを指示す るために、TDMバス、基地局コントローラ手段、及び少なくとも1つのデジタ ル・チャンネル信号に接続される、TDMバス・ドライバ手段と、 を含む、請求項1に記載の基地局。 12.基地局コントローラ手段は、TDMバスに接続され、更にレ シーバ・アドレス信号を発生し、時分割多重交換手段は更に、 TDMバス同期信号及びレシーバ・アドレス信号を受信し、レシーバ・アド レス信号を格納し、該レシーバ・アドレス信号の値がバス同期信号の値と対応す る場合に、TDMバス上に表明された信号を読み取り、かかる表明された信号を デジタル信号プロセッサ手段に供給し、それにより、デジタル信号プロセッサと 関連した時間スロットが現在活性であることを指示するために、TDMバス、基 地局コントローラ手段、及び少なくとも1つのデジタル信号プロセッサ手段に接 続される、TDMバス・レシーバ手段を備える、請求項11に記載の基地局。 13.第1及び第2のチャンネル化装置は各々、 デジタル化広帯域信号のうちの対応する信号を受信すべく接続された、畳込 みデジタルフィルタと、 畳込みデジタルフィルタの出力を受信して、デジタル・チャンネル信号を供 給するよう接続された、高速フーリエ変換(FFT)プロセッサと、 からなる、請求項6に記載の基地局。 14.通信信号源からデジタル入力信号を受信すべく接続された、第2の複数のデ ジタル信号処理手段と、 第2の複数のデジタル・チャンネル信号を受信して、送信のために複合デジ タル信号を供給するよう接続された、広帯域デジタル結合器と、 時分割多重交換手段も又、第2の複数のデジタル信号プロセ ッサと広帯域デジタル結合器の間に配設されて、第2の組のデジタル信号プロセ ッサのいずれか1つを、結合器に入力されるデジタル・チャンネル信号のいずれ か1つに接続することと、 複合デジタル信号を受信して、結合RF信号を供給するよう接続された、広 帯域デジタル励振器と、 結合RF信号を受信して、結合RF信号を放射するよう接続された、送信ア ンテナと、 から更になる、請求項1に記載の基地局。 15.時分割多重交換手段を介して、デジタル・チャンネル出力の1つに現在のと ころ相互接続されていない、全ての未使用のデジタル信号処理手段のリストを維 持して、デジタル・チャンネル出力が、デジタル信号処理手段の1つにまだ割当 てられていない移動体ユニットにより送信される活性な信号を含む場合、又は通 信源からのデジタル入力が活性である場合にのみ、第1又は第2のデジタル信号 処理手段の1つとして機能するように、未使用のデジタル信号処理手段のリスト から、デジタル信号処理手段を割当てるために、時分割多重交換手段と第1及び 第2の複数のデジタル信号処理手段に接続された、基地局コントローラ手段から 更になる、請求項14に記載の基地局。 16.広帯域基地局トランシーバにおいて、 出力において広帯域デジタル信号を供給する広帯域デジタル・チューナと、 広帯域チューナに接続されて、複数の量子化チャンネル信号 を生成するデジタル・チャンネル化装置であって、各チャンネル信号は、基地局 によりサービスされる複数の無線周波数チャンネルの1つにおける信号エネルギ ーを表す、デジタル・チャンネル化装置と、 時分割多重アクセス(TDM)データバスと、 TDMバスに、次々に、各チャンネル信号のデジタルサンプルを選択的に接 続するための手段と、 所定の順番で所定の時間スロット内の各チャンネル信号を接続することによ り、TDMバスに各チャンネル信号のデジタルサンプルを選択的に接続するため の手段を制御するための、基地局コントローラ手段と、 特定の時間スロット内のデジタルサンプルを選択して、それにより、再構成 されたチャンネル信号を生成するために、TDMバスに結合された手段と、 関連した無線周波数チャンネルが活性である場合に、結合すべき復調器を再 構成されたチャンネル信号に割当てるための手段であって、復調器が復調チャン ネル信号を供給する、手段と、 T1スパン回線を介した送信のために復調チャンネル信号をフォーマットす べく、復調チャンネル信号にT1回線符号器を割当てるための手段と、 公衆交換電話ネットワーク(PSTN)への更なる接続のために、移動電話 交換オフィス(MTSO)、又は移動交換センター(MSC)にT1回線を結合 するための手段と、 を備える広帯域基地局トランシーバ。
