Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.内燃機関(11)の始動段階中に空気供給補助される噴射装置(17)の良好な 動作の確認のための方法であって、 前記噴射装置は、定められた量の燃料をエンジンに供給するのに適したもの であり、 経験に基づいて、安定したアイドリング段階中に、定められた量の空気を空 気供給補助段階中に噴射できることを確認することを特徴とする方法。 2.空気供給補助段階中に内燃機関に空気と燃料のいわゆる薄い混合物が供給さ れることを確認することを特徴とする請求の範囲の第1項記載の方法。 3.定められた時点からエンジンがアイドリング回転を行っており、前記エンジ ンの温度(T)が、始動温度と呼ばれる温度よりも高いことを確認し、 空気供給補助バルブ(19)を開き、 予め定められた時間中にアイドリングバルブ(24)を通る空気量(Qm)を測 定し、 該空気量(Qm)と、限界空気量(Q1)とを比較し、 これに基づいて、空気供給補助システムが動作しているか否かを推論するこ とを特徴とする請求の範囲の第1項または第2項記載の方法。 4.測定された空気量Qmが限界空気量Q1より小 さい場合には、エンジン制御用コンピュータ(20)に空気供給補助システム(18 ,19)の故障コードを送出することを特徴とする請求の範囲の第3項記載の方法 。 5.アイドリング調整バルブ(24)を通る空気量(Qm)の測定値が、前記アイド リング調整バルブ(24)の循環開き比(RCO)の計算に出てくる積分項を考慮す ることによって定められることを特徴とする請求の範囲の第1項から第4項のい ずれか1項記載の方法。 6.エンジンに薄い混合物が供給されていることの確認が、噴射装置への空気供 給補助段階中になされることを特徴とする請求の範囲の第2項記載の方法。 7.空気供給補助段階中、酸素量測定プローブ(31)の作動直後に、噴射される 混合物の濃度が1より小さいか否かを検出し、 空気供給補助段階中に測定サンプリングを行うことにより、濃度が1より小 さかった回数と、濃度が1を超えた回数とを検出し、 空気供給補助段階中に行った測定回数と、濃度が1より小さかった回数との 比を計算し、 この比が最低比率を超える場合には、空気供給補助段階中にエンジンに薄い 混合物が供給されたとみなすことを特徴とする請求の範囲の第6項記載の方 法。 8.前記比が最低比率より小さい場合には、空気供給補助システムの故障コード をコンピュータに送出することを特徴とする請求の範囲の第7項記載の方法。 9.請求の範囲の第1項から第8項記載の方法を実施する制御装置において、 空気供給補助段階中に定められた量の空気を噴射することができることの確 認手段(20)を有し、 該確認手段(20)は、空気供給補助バルブ(19)を開くための手段と、 予め定められた時点からエンジン(11)が安定したアイドリング回転を行っ ていることを確認するのに適した手段と、 アイドリング調整バルブ(24)を通る空気量(Qm)を測定するための手段と 、 測定された空気量Qmと限界空気量Q1とを比較するのに適した比較手段とを有 し、 空気供給補助段階中の空気と燃料の混合物の濃度λの確認手段 (31)とを 有することを特徴とする請求の範囲の第1項から第8項記載の方法を実施するた めの制御装置。
