Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.硬化する前に複合チャージを形成するための方法であって、 (a) 細長い複合チャージをレイアップするステップと、 (b) 膨張性ブラダに隣接するよう細長い真空チャンバに複合チャージを置 くステップとを含み、前記膨張性ブラダは前記真空チャンバの外部と流体によっ て接続され、さらに前記方法は、 (c) 前記細長い真空チャンバの側面に取付けられた複数のインデックスを しまわれた位置から展開位置に移動させるステップを含み、前記展開位置におい て前記インデックスは真空チャンバ内の予め定められた場所に前記複合チャージ を位置づけるようにし、さらに前記方法は、 (d) 前記複合チャージと物理的に接触するよう細長いレイアップマンドレ ルを配置するステップと、 (e) 前記真空チャンバの蓋と前記真空チャンバのボディとの間に配置され た膨張性シールによって前記真空チャンバを封止するステップと、 (f) 前記複合チャージの温度を上げるステップと、 (g) 前記真空チャンバの内部を少なくとも部分的に真空排気し、それによ り前記膨張性ブラダが膨張して前記レイアップマンドレルのまわりに複合チャー ジを形成するようにするステップとを含む、方法。 2.十分な時間の間前記複合チャージを高い温度に維持して、前記複合チャージ の樹脂が軟化するようにするステップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 3.複数のサブインデックスを引っ込み位置から伸長位置に移動させるステップ をさらに含み、前記伸長位置において前記サブインデックスは前記複合チャージ に対して予め定められた位置に前記レイアップマンドレルを位置づけるようにす る、請求項2に記載の方法。 4.端部インデックスを引っ込み位置からインデックス位置に移動させるステッ プをさらに含み、前記インデックス位置において前記端部インデックスは真空チ ャンバ内に前記複合チャージの端部および前記レイアップマンドレルを位置づけ るようにする、請求項3に記載の方法。 5.複数のサブインデックスを引っ込み位置から伸長位置に移動させるステップ をさらに含み、前記伸長位置において前記サブインデックスは前記複合チャージ に対して予め定められた位置に前記レイアップマンドレルを位置づけるようにす る、請求項1に記載の方法。 6.端部インデックスを引っ込み位置からインデックス位置に移動させるステッ プをさらに含み、前記インデックス位置において前記端部インデックスは真空チ ャンバ内に前記複合チャージの端部および前記レイアップマンドレルを位置づけ るようにする、請求項5に記載の方法。 7.端部インデックスを引っ込み位置からインデックス位 置に移動させるステップをさらに含み、前記インデックス位置において前記端部 インデックスは前記真空チャンバ内に前記複合チャージの端部および前記レイア ップマンドレルを位置づけるようにする、請求項1に記載の方法。 8.硬化する前に複合チャージを形成するための装置であって、前記装置は、 (a) 蓋とハウジングとを含む細長い真空チャンバと、 (b) 前記蓋と前記ハウジングとの間にあり、前記真空チャンバを封止する ための膨張性シールと、 (c) 前記真空チャンバ内にあり、かつ前記チャンバの長さに沿って少なく とも部分的に延びる膨張性ブラダとを備え、前記膨張性ブラダの内部は前記真空 チャンバの外部と流体により接続し、さらに前記装置は、 (d) 前記膨張性ブラダの1つの面に隣接して置かれる加熱ブランケットと 、 (e) 前記真空チャンバの内部と流体によって接続される真空ポンプと、 (f) 前記真空ポンプと加熱ブランケットとを制御して前記複合チャージを 形成するようにするための制御コンソールと、 (g) 前記真空チャンバに結合される複数の側面インデックスとを含み、各 インデックスはしまわれた位置から展開位置に移動可能であり、前記展開位置に おいて前記インデックスは前記真空チャンバの幅にわたって少なくとも 部分的に延び、前記側面インデックスは前記真空チャンバ内の予め定められた位 置に前記複合チャージを位置づけるようにするための複合チャージインデックス を含む、装置。 9.前記各側面インデックスが、前記真空チャンバ内に配置されたレイアップマ ンドレルを前記真空チャンバ内に先に配置された複合チャージ上の予め定められ た場所に置くようにするためのマンドレルインデックスをさらに含む、請求項8 に記載の装置。 10.複合チャージの端部およびレイアップマンドレルを前記真空チャンバ内の 予め定められた位置に置くようにするための端部インデックスを含む、請求項9 に記載の装置。 11.前記真空チャンバのハウジングの上部に沿って回転して前記複合チャージ を前記真空チャンバの中に移動させるキャリッジをさらに含む、請求項10に記 載の装置。 12.前記複合チャージの端部およびレイアップマンドレルを前記真空チャンバ 内の予め定められた位置に置くようにするための端部インデックスを含む、請求 項8に記載の装置。 13.前記真空チャンバのハウジングの上部に沿って回転して、前記真空チャン バの中に前記複合チャージを移動させるキャリッジをさらに含む、請求項12に 記載の装置。 14.前記真空チャンバのハウジングの上部に沿って回転して、前記真空チャン バの中に前記複合チャージを移動させるキャリッジをさらに含む、請求項8に記 載の装置。
