2. Description of the Related Art Thermocouples and thermistors are widely used as temperature measuring instruments for measuring the temperature within the range of several hundred degrees to about 1000 degrees. When a thermocouple is compared with a thermistor, the thermocouple has an advantage that a measurement temperature range is wider than a thermistor, but has the following disadvantages. Low noise immunity. Low high temperature durability. Since a complicated circuit such as an amplifier circuit is required, it cannot be manufactured at low cost. Therefore, if there is a thermistor that can measure a wide range of temperatures like a thermocouple, it is possible to perform highly reliable temperature measurement in a high temperature range at low cost for a long period of time.

However, the ceramic composition for a thermistor disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 7-201528 also requires a temperature (absolute temperature) in a wide temperature range.
The linearity of the relationship between the reciprocal and the logarithm of the resistance is not sufficient. Therefore, a thermistor composition that can perform more reliable temperature measurement over a wide temperature range has been desired. Specifically, there is a strong demand for a thermistor composition having a thermistor constant (B value) of 3000 to 8000 [K], good linearity of thermistor characteristics over a wide temperature range, and excellent heat resistance. Was.

[0007] In order to obtain a thermistor capable of measuring the temperature in a wide temperature range and having high measurement accuracy, the thermistor composition of the thermistor composition ideally has a constant thermistor constant (B value) within the measurement temperature range. And the ratio between the resistivity at the highest temperature of the measurement range and the resistivity at the lowest temperature is 10
It is desirable to be in the range of 0 to 500. For example, when the measurement range is a practical middle to high temperature range (a wide temperature range of 300 to 900 ° C., preferably 200 to 1000 ° C.), B
The value is 3000 to 8000 [K], preferably 4000 to 8000 [K].
It is desirable to be 6000 [K]. In order to obtain such thermistor characteristics, the atomic ratio of the element M to Cr [C

In some cases, the thermistor composition is inappropriate. Specifically, if the formula (II) ≧ 0.04, the B value becomes too small, and the thermistor composition may be unsuitable as a thermistor composition. When the value of the formula (III) is less than 0.4 or more than 0.6, there are cases where the thermistor composition is not suitable. BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION In the present thermistor composition, the above formula (II) is expressed as follows: 0.001 ≦ Q / (A + Q) ≦ 0.03
It is desirable to be within the numerical range represented by Within this range, the amount of change in the B value becomes even smaller. Further, in the present thermistor composition, aluminum (Al) capable of appropriately increasing the B value may be added for adjusting the thermistor characteristics. In this case, the atomic ratio of Al to the sum of Al, Cr and the element M; the following formula (IV): Al / (Al + Cr + M) (IV) is the following formula (IV) ′: 0 <Al / (Al + Cr + M) ≦ 0. It is desirable to be within the numerical range represented by 10 (IV) ′. If Al is added in excess of this amount, the B value of the thermistor composition may become too large.

As described above, a stable thermistor composition can be obtained by using a substance containing crystal grains having a perovskite crystal structure. Further, the present thermistor composition may partially include a crystal structure other than the perovskite type. For example, a substance mainly including crystal particles having a perovskite crystal structure and partially including crystal particles having a celite crystal structure may be used. The existence ratio of the perovskite crystal structure is desirably 50% by volume or more. If the proportion of the perovskite crystal structure is less than 50% by volume, the thermistor characteristics may be unstable.

The production of a thermistor using the thermistor composition of the present invention is carried out, for example, as follows. In the pressure molding for obtaining the final product, two platinum wires of a desired size are placed in a raw material powder filled in a cylindrical mold of a desired size, with one end of each wire facing a line cross section and a desired gap. Is opened and placed at the center of the cylinder. After placing the other end of each wire out of the mold, pressure molding is performed. Then, the molded body is fired to form a thermistor composition having two platinum wires as lead wires. Also, the two platinum wires are not arranged during the pressure molding, but after the pressed body of the raw material powder is fired, a platinum electrode is provided on the fired body by an ion coater or the like, and the two platinum wires are provided on the platinum electrode. May be wound. The thus obtained thermistor is exposed to the environment where the temperature is to be measured, the resistance between the two lead wires is measured, and from this resistance, a conversion formula or a conversion circuit for obtaining the temperature is used. The temperature of the environment can be determined.

For both O-based sintered bodies and Y-Ca-Cr-Fe-O-based sintered bodies,
When the value of the formula (I) is out of the numerical range represented by the formula (I) ′ (Comparative Examples 1 to 4), it can be seen that the rate of change of the B value increases. In Comparative Examples 5 and 7, the rate of change of the B value is large, and in Comparative Example 6, the rate of change of the B value is small, but the B value is too large (above 8000 K). It is not suitable as a thermistor composition capable of measuring temperature and having high temperature measurement accuracy.

In Table 2, Example 7 and Comparative Examples 8 and 9 show Y-
It is a Ca-Cr-VO-based sintered body, and Example 8 and Comparative Examples 10 and 11 are Y-Ca-Cr-Fe-O-based sintered bodies. As is apparent from Table 2, the value of the formula (II) is represented by the formula (II) ′ for both the Y—Ca—Cr—VO—based sintered body and the Y—Ca—Cr—Fe—O-based sintered body. When the value is out of the range, the change rate of the B value increases (Comparative Examples 8, 9, 1).
0) Or, as in Comparative Example 11, although the rate of change of the B value is small, the B value is too small (less than 3000 K), so that the temperature can be measured over a wide temperature range and the thermistor has high temperature measurement accuracy. It is unsuitable as a composition.

Since the thermistor composition of the present invention has the above-described structure, the thermistor constant is constant over a wide temperature range as compared with the conventional thermistor composition. The following characteristics: Thermistor constant is 3000 to 8000 [K] The linearity of the thermistor characteristics is good in a temperature range of 200 to 1000 [K] and thermistor having high stability at high temperature can be easily obtained. . Therefore, when the present composition is used as a thermistor, the measurement temperature range can be widened, and more accurate temperature measurement at a high temperature has become possible.
