上記した目的を達成するために、本発明に係るスクータ型車両の収納装置は、ハンドルを回動自在に支持するヘッドパイプの周囲を車体前部カバーで覆い、該車体前部カバーの内部におけるヘッドパイプ側方に、収納凹部を設けたスクータ型車両において、該収納箱の壁部に盗難防止錠を収納保持する保持手段を設けたことを特徴とする。
前記保持手段は、収納箱の車体前後方向前方に位置する前端壁に設けることができる。
前記収納凹部は、ヘッドパイプの側壁に沿って車体前方に向かう収納部を備え、収納部のヘッドパイプ側の側壁に沿い近接させて盗難防止錠を収納保持できるように構成され得る。
また、前記収納凹部のヘッドパイプを挟んで車体幅方向反対側に別の収納凹部を設け、前記収納凹部と別の収納凹部とを、ヘッドパイプの車体前後方向後方に位置する凹部で連結してもよい。
さらに、好ましくは、前記収納凹部におけるヘッドパイプの側壁の近傍で、車体前部カバーをヘッドパイプに固定することができる。[0004]

また、前記収納凹部に、ヘッドパイプの側壁に沿って車体前方に向かう収納部を形成し、収納部 のヘッドパイプ側の側壁に沿い近接させて盗難防止錠を収納保持できるように構成することで、収納装置内での盗難防止のバタツキを防止できる。
さらに、前記収納凹部のヘッドパイプを挟んで車体幅方向反対側に別の収納凹部を設け、前記収納凹部と別の収納凹部とを、ヘッドパイプの車体前後方向後方に位置する凹部で連結することで、ヘッドパイプの周囲を効率よく収納スペースとして利用することができる。
また、前記収納凹部におけるヘッドパイプの側壁の近傍で、車体前部カバーをヘッドパイプに固定することで、盗難防止錠を収納する収納凹部の剛性が高くなり、別途、補強部材等を設ける必要なく、重量のある盗難防止錠を収納するのに十分な剛性を得ることができる。[0023]
