【発明の効果】以上のように、本発明のウェブの耳回収
処理装置では、ウェブの両側縁からスリットされた帯状
の耳を送風管に通される前にニップするニップ装置とこ
のニップ装置と風送管との間で帯状の耳ををさらに細幅
にスリットする補助スリット装置とを備えるようにし
て、スリット装置によるスリット後の耳を補助スリット
装置でさらに細幅にスリットするようにしたので、耳が
風送管に詰まることがない。スリット装置によってスリ
ットされた耳が風送管に通される前にニップ装置でニッ
プされるので、耳の張力変動、蛇行等が軽減される。ま
た、より細い風送管の使用や送風機の小型化が可能とな
り、送風機や粉砕機のレイアウトの自由度が高まる。ま
た、送風機や粉砕機をスリット装置から分散してより確
実かつ容易に防音性を備えられる別の部屋に配置するこ
とが可能となるので、作業環境を良好にすることができ
る。
