Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fishing rod capable of accurately transmitting the sink- and-draw motion to give the tip section with a swing of desired span and speed and having improved operability and fishing result by placing a protruded part of e.g. trigger-form to the lower half region of a front grip. SOLUTION: This fishing rod has an operation part 24 such as a part to be held under the arm or a gripping part at the back side of a reel-attaching part 12 and a gripping part at the front side of the attaching part. A trigger- shaped or a swollen protrusion 28 is formed in the lower-half region of the front-side gripping part 26. A fishing line introducing part to introduce a fishing line 16 into the fishing rod pipe is formed at the front part of the front-side gripping part 26. The front side of the gripping part is further provided with an abrasion-resistant guide ring 18 having a longitudinally extending hole and an abrasion-resistant guide ring 22 held at the back of an angle-shaped frame 20.
