[Detailed description of the invention]
0001
[Technical field to which the invention belongs]

0002
[Prior Art]
For general lightingfluorescent lampsfor, traditionallyThe hot cathode type is mainly used.
0003]
A hot cathode fluorescent lamp has a pair of hot cathode electrodes at both ends of the discharge vessel. The hot cathode electrodes are composed of a filament coated with an electron-emitting material connected between a pair of inner wells.
0004]
The operating principle of a fluorescent lamp is roughly as follows: a fluorescent lamp is fitted with a specified hot cathodeheatingApply voltage,When the electrode is heated by passing current through it, the electron-emitting material is heated by the glow of the filament, and when the hot cathode electrode is in the cathode phase, it emits thermions. These electrons are attracted to the anode on the opposite side and move, starting a discharge. The electrons flowing due to the discharge collide with mercury atoms inside the discharge vessel, ionizing them. The ionization of the mercury atoms generates ultraviolet light, which strikes the phosphor particles in the phosphor layer formed on the inner surface of the discharge vessel. This excites the phosphor particles, emitting visible light.

Incidentally, the lighting life of a fluorescent lamp, at which point it no longer lights, is often due to the gradual reduction in the electron-emitting material deposited on the filament during startup or lighting, making it difficult to emit electrons sufficiently, or the electron-emitting material scattered during lighting is deposited on the surface of the stem, causing the stem surface to become conductive and resulting in a short circuit. It is extremely rare for the reduction in electron-emitting material to progress simultaneously and to the same extent on a pair of hot cathode electrodes; usually, the reduction in electron-emitting material occurs on one of the hot cathode electrodes.inThe decrease in electron-emitting material proceeds first, reaching the end of its life. At this end of its life, the fluorescent lamp undergoes half-wave discharge, during which the temperature in the vicinity of the hot cathode electrode rises abnormally.
0006]
In fluorescent lamps with small diameter discharge vessels, such as compact fluorescent lamps, which have become increasingly popular in recent years, hot cathode electrodes are used.Pipe diameterBecause it cannot be made proportionally smaller,For the pipe diameterHot cathode electrodesGrowing up,The proximity to the glass tube can cause the temperature to rise excessively, and in extreme cases, the glass tube may even melt.
0007
In addition, recent fluorescent lamps with small tube diameters tend to use bases made of synthetic resin, which can cause the base to burn out due to excessive temperature rise at the end of their life as mentioned above.
0008]
Traditionally, measures to solve these end-of-life problems have been taken from various angles.exampleFor example, in a fluorescent lamp used inside an automobile or portable device, a heat-sensitive element is disposed near the electrode.,Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 4-61740 describes how the lighting device can be controlled by detecting excessive temperature rise at the end of the lamp's life, and how by setting different electrode lives in advance and placing a thermal element only on the electrode with the shortest life, it is possible to use only one thermal element.
0009
[Problem the invention aims to solve]
However, even with the above-mentioned conventional technology, there are still many issues that need to be resolved before it can be applied to fluorescent lamps for general lighting.
0010]
In other words, in fluorescent lamps for general lighting, which are often used in an exposed state, the hot cathode electrode is generally located away from the base towards the center of the discharge vessel. When a heat-sensitive element is disposed near the electrode,The heat-sensitive element is exposed to the outside, which gives the user a sense of discomfort.
0011]
In addition, the output of the thermal element is fed back to the lighting device to control the lighting device,Thermal elementIt is difficult to incorporate into fluorescent lamps.
0012]
Therefore, even if the thermal element is installed on the lighting device side, fluorescent lamps for general lighting applications must be compatible with products from different manufacturers. The position of the hot cathode electrode relative to the discharge tube is a design factor and currently differs from manufacturer to manufacturer, making it difficult to ensure that end-of-life protection operations are performed equally for products from all manufacturers.
0013]
This invention provides protection at the end of life and is practical.inThe object of the present invention is to provide a fluorescent lamp suitable for general lighting, a fluorescent lamp lighting device using the same, a fluorescent lamp device, and a lighting device.
0014]
[Means to achieve the goal]
The fluorescent lamp of the invention of claim 1 comprises a fluorescent lamp body having hot cathode electrodes on both ends of a glass discharge tube;BothForms an internal space that is attached to the endand has an arrangement space for arranging at least two thermal fuses at positions close to the hot cathode electrodes of the fluorescent lamp body.a nozzle having a nozzle base made of synthetic resin; The above arrangementDistributed in spaceAt least two electrodes are connected to each hot cathode electrode.and a thermal fuse.
0015]
In this invention and each of the following inventions, unless otherwise specified, the definitions and technical meanings of terms are as follows.
0016]
"Fluorescent lamp body" means the remaining part of a fluorescent lamp excluding the base. When a fluorescent lamp body is equipped with a bent discharge tube, it may be made up of a single bent glass tube or two or more connected glass tubes.
0017]
A fluorescent lamp body has a phosphor layer formed on the inner surface of a glass discharge tube, with mercury and rare gases such as argon sealed inside as the discharge medium. Note that the term "inner surface of the glass discharge tube" is used to encompass both cases where the phosphor layer is formed directly on the inner surface of the glass discharge tube and cases where the phosphor layer is formed indirectly via a protective film or the like.
0018]
For the phosphor layer, it is preferable to use a three-wavelength emitting rare earth phosphor. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and other phosphors such as calcium halophosphate phosphors can also be used. Furthermore, depending on the intended use, phosphors that emit green light, etc., can also be used.
0019]
Mercury can be sealed either as pure mercury or in the form of amalgam. If it is sealed in the form of pure mercury, it can be placed in a glass capsule or similar.
0020]
A hot cathode electrode can be made by connecting a coil filament between a pair of inner wells sealed from the end of the discharge tube, and coating the filament with an electron-emitting material.
0021]
"Base" means the means attached to the fluorescent lamp body, connected to a socket, and used to receive the power required for lighting, regardless of whether it has the function of supporting the fluorescent lamp. Therefore, the present invention applies to both those that simultaneously receive power and mechanically support the lamp, as seen in compact fluorescent lamps, and those that rely on a separate support means for supporting the lamp, as seen in high-frequency-only fluorescent lamps.
0022]
Also, the nozzle isIt has a synthetic resin base,Various shapes and structures are permitted depending on the type of fluorescent lamp.
0023]
Furthermore, the nozzle isThe synthetic resin baseThe end of the fluorescent lamp body is mainly housed inside, and the end is fixed to the base by appropriate means, and the required wiring is carried out.OrIt has an internal space forand has an installation space for installing a thermal fuse.A suitable means for attaching the end of the fluorescent lamp body to the base is to apply a silicone adhesive to the gap between the end and the base to bond them together.
0024]
Furthermore, when the fluorescent lamp body has both ends of the discharge tube relatively close to each other, a common base with a single structure is used for both ends.Synthetic resin baseBetween each tube endLocated inA partition wall can be formed.
0025]
Furthermore,The base includes a power receiving means, such as a contact.
0026]
the aboveThe installation space can be formed within the internal space, or in a partition wall formed between the ends of the discharge tubes when the fluorescent lamp body has both ends relatively close to each other, or in a wall of the internal space. In an embodiment where the installation space is formed within the internal space, a portion of the internal space is used as the installation space. Furthermore, in an embodiment where the installation space is formed within the wall of the internal space, the installation space is formed in a portion that would otherwise constitute a wall if the thermal fuse were not installed. In other words, in this configuration, the installation space is intentionally formed in a portion that would normally constitute a wall, and the thermal fuse is housed therein.
0027
The term "thermal fuse" refers to a conductor that has the function of breaking an electrical circuit by melting at a set temperature. Thermal fuses include those in which the melting portion is enclosed in a container and those in which the melting portion is exposed, and either type can be used in this invention. The operating temperature of a thermal fuse is preferably lower than the temperature at which a glass discharge tube melts (approximately 700°C for LM glass), and higher than the temperature during manufacturing and the temperature during normal operation of a fluorescent lamp.
0028]
Also, the thermal fuseTwo or moreUse an appropriate number.thereforeOne or two can be used for each hot cathode electrode.Furthermore, a thermal fuse can be connected to each external lead wire of each electrode on both ends of the fluorescent lamp body, so that a total of four thermal fuses can be used.
0029]
Thermal fuseMade of synthetic resinBase of the mouthpieceArrangement formed inPlace in spaceAs a mode, the thermal fuse is disposed exposed in the installation space, or is disposed by being embedded in a silicone adhesive.Installed exposed in the spacecaseThe inside of the silicone adhesiveMade of synthetic resinIt is not embedded in the wall of the base cap, but is embedded in the internal space. In the formed installation spaceHanging it in the middle or on the interior walls of the interior spaceOn the wall of the formed installation spaceInstall orthe abovewallsurfaceIn contact withOrdo.
0030]
In addition, in the above, embedding the temperature fuse inside the silicone-based adhesive or inside the wall of the synthetic resin base cap means embedding the temperature fuse inside the silicone-based adhesive or arranging the temperature fuse in an arrangement space formed inside the wall of the base cap.
0031
So, in this invention,At least two hot cathode electrodes are installed in the fluorescent lamp body.Install a thermal fuseInstallation spacenozzleThere isI'mAt least two thermal fuses are disposed in the space, and the thermal fuses are connected to the respective hot cathode electrodes.BecauseWhen the hot cathode electrode reaches the end of its life, the current path is cut off to protect the fluorescent lamp.
0032]
Also,Thermal fuseMade of synthetic resinInside the internal space of the baseArrangement space formed inIf the contacts are exposed to the outside, wiring to the fluorescent lamp body and the contacts is easy.
0033]
Furthermore, if the thermal fuse is embedded in a silicone adhesive, it is advantageous for fixing the thermal fuse and improving its sensitivity, and also makes fixing easier.
0034]
The fluorescent lamp of the invention of claim 2 isThe fluorescent lamp comprises a fluorescent lamp body having hot cathode electrodes at both ends of a glass discharge tube; a base having an internal space attached to both ends of the glass discharge tube, a synthetic resin base base having internal installation spaces for installing at least two thermal fuses at positions close to the hot cathode electrodes of the fluorescent lamp body, and contacts supported on the synthetic resin base base; and at least two thermal fuses connected in series between the hot cathode electrodes and the contacts and installed in the installation spaces of the base base.It is characterized by the fact that
0035
In the present invention, when both ends of the discharge vessel of the fluorescent lamp body are spaced apart, a base can be attached to each end.
0036
This invention uses a thermal fuseConnected in series between the hot cathode electrode and the contactTherefore, fluorescent lamps should be handled in the same way as those without a thermal fuse.
0037
Also, connect the thermal fuse in series between the external lead wire of the fluorescent lamp body and the contact of the base. So, and the work is easy.
0038]
The present inventionIn, the thermal fuse is supported by the connecting circuitcaseThere is no need to provide any special support means. Also, the thermal fuse is simply connected between the external lead wire of the fluorescent lamp body and the contact of the base, making the installation easy.
0039
In addition,To prevent the thermal fuse from moving undesirably, it is effective to make the connecting electric circuit not longer than necessary.
0040]
The present invention is also particularly suitable for lightweight thermal fuses. In this sense, it is effective to use a wire-type thermal fuse.
0041
The fluorescent lamp of the invention of claim 3 isor 2In the fluorescent lamp described,The end of the glass discharge tube and the thermal fuse are fixed with a silicone adhesive. It is characterized by being
0042
By embedding the thermal fuse in the silicone adhesive, the thermal fuse can be fixed without using any other special fixing means.
0043
Furthermore, embedding the thermal fuse in a silicone adhesive is advantageous in terms of fixing the thermal fuse and improving its sensitivity.
0044]
By attaching the thermal fuse to the inner wall of the synthetic resin base, the thermal fuse can be easily attached, improving the workability of assembly.
0045
The fluorescent lamp of the invention of claim 4 isThe method according to any one of claims 1 to 3In fluorescent lamps, synthetic resin baseThe space for disposing the glass discharge tube is connected to an internal space for accommodating the end of the glass discharge tube.It is characterized by the fact that
0046
In the above, the arrangement space and the internal space accommodating the end of the glass discharge tube can be connected in the following ways: the arrangement space is formed within the internal space, the arrangement space is formed inside the internal wall of the internal space, or the arrangement space is formed inside a partition wall of the synthetic resin base base formed between the tube ends when the fluorescent lamp body brings both ends of the discharge tube relatively close to each other. The partition wall also forms the internal wall of the internal space.
0047
In the above-described configuration in which an installation space is formed within the internal space, the thermal fuse can be attached to the inner wall of the installation space, and therefore to the inner wall of the internal space. In this case, if necessary, an attachment hook can be formed on the inner wall of the synthetic resin base base by bonding or integral molding. The thermal fuse can also be attached to the side or bottom of the synthetic resin base base.
0048
In both the configurations in which an installation space is formed inside the inner wall of the internal space and the configuration in which an installation space is formed inside the partition wall of the synthetic resin base, the installation space is formed in a part that would otherwise be a part of the wall if a thermal fuse were not to be installed. In other words, in these configurations, in order to accommodate the thermal fuse, the installation space is intentionally formed in a part that would normally be a part of the wall, and the thermal fuse is accommodated therein. Furthermore, these installation spaces are in communication with the internal space.
0049
The fluorescent lamp of the invention of claim 5 isThe method according to any one of claims 1 to 4In fluorescent lamps,The fluorescent lamp body has a partition wall interposed between both ends of the glass discharge tube and defining the installation space; the base has a base base base body whose internal space for accommodating both ends of the glass discharge tube of the fluorescent lamp body is partitioned by a partition wall; and the thermal fuse is disposed in the installation space defined in the partition wall portion of the synthetic resin base base base;It is characterized by the following.
0050
Arrangement formed on the partition wallThe space is preferably such that both ends of the fluorescent lamp body areMade of synthetic resinIt is preferable to remove the thinnest part of the partition wall that defines the part inserted into the base base, in other words, the part where both ends are closest to each other. By locating the thermal fuse in this part, the thermal fuse can be sensitively responsive to the temperatures at both ends of the fluorescent lamp.
0051
but,Arrangement formed on the partition wallThere are other spaces that can be used to install a thermal fuse besides those mentioned above. For example,Made of synthetic resinThis is a portion relatively close to the outer surface of the base cap. Although the distance between both ends of this portion is large, if the thermal fuse is positioned so that both ends are close to each other, the sensitivity will not decrease. This portion also has the advantage of making it easier to secure storage space for the thermal fuse.
0052
ArrangementAfter placing the thermal fuse in the space, the gap that appears around the thermal fusetoFilling with silicone adhesive is advantageous in fixing the thermal fuse and improving its sensitivity.
0053
A fluorescent lamp according to a sixth aspect of the present invention is characterized in that, in the fifth aspect of the present invention, the thermal fuse is disposed in an arrangement space formed in a position relatively close to the outer surface of the synthetic resin base base of the partition wall.
0054
The present invention has the advantage of making it easier to secure storage space for the thermal fuse.
0055
A fluorescent lamp according to a seventh aspect of the present invention is characterized in that, in the fluorescent lamp according to any one of the first to third aspects, the synthetic resin base substrate has the installation space within an internal space that houses the end of the glass discharge tube; and the synthetic resin base substrate is provided with a hook on the wall surface of the internal space for attaching the thermal fuse.
0056
The hook is provided on the inner wall surface of the internal space. The mounting hook can be formed on the inner wall of the synthetic resin base body by bonding or integral molding.
[0057]
Furthermore, the thermal fuse can be attached to the side or bottom of the synthetic resin base base.
0058
Thus, according to the present invention, the thermal fuse can be easily attached, and the assembly workability is improved.
0059
The fluorescent lamp of the invention according to claim 8 is characterized in that in the fluorescent lamp according to any one of claims 1 to 7, the fluorescent lamp body has a glass discharge tube with an outer diameter of 23 mm or less.
0060
The present invention is applicable to various so-called compact fluorescent lamps, such as FDL, FML, FWL, FHT, FUL, FPR, and FPL types, fluorescent lamps with various power consumption, and high-frequency-only fluorescent lamps, including single-ring (FHC) and double-ring glass discharge tubes with an outer diameter of 23 mm or less. It may also be a straight-tube fluorescent lamp.
0061
Claim9The fluorescent lamp lighting device of the present invention comprises: an inverter lighting device that converts power supply into high frequency and outputs it; a socket having four receptacles arranged at positions corresponding to the corners of a rectangle, a pair of output lines of the inverter lighting device connected to two of the four receptacles, and a starting circuit connected to the remaining two receptacles;8and a fluorescent lamp according to any one of the above.
0062
In the present invention, when the output lines of the inverter lighting device are connected to two of the four receptacles on the socket and the starting circuit is connected to the remaining two, depending on the connection position, the thermal fuse can be configured to connect to the inverter lighting device regardless of the orientation of the fluorescent lamp base. In other words, the fluorescent lamp is non-polar. This means that, conversely, depending on the connection position of the inverter lighting device and starting circuit to the socket, the thermal fuse will be connected to the starting circuit.
0063
To ensure that the thermal fuse is connected to the inverter lighting device regardless of the orientation of the fluorescent lamp base connected to the socket, i.e., to make it non-polar, connect the output line of the inverter lighting circuit to the receptacle diagonally opposite it. Therefore, the starting circuit is also connected to the remaining receptacle diagonally opposite it. In this case, if the thermal fuse is sensitive to heat at both ends, only one thermal fuse may be used.
0064
In addition, regardless of how the fluorescent lamp base is connected to the socket, a thermal fuse can be connected between the fluorescent lamp and the inverter lighting device. That is, one thermal fuse is connected to each hot cathode electrode and to the external lead wires diagonally opposite each other. However, since one of the thermal fuses is connected to the starting circuit and therefore cannot be expected to provide protection, it is desirable to configure both thermal fuses to be sensitive to heat at both ends.
0065
Furthermore, by regulating the connection position of the fluorescent lamp relative to the socket, i.e., the polarity of the installation, it is possible to ensure that the thermal fuse is connected to the inverter lighting device. For example, a convex or concave portion can be formed on the regular side of the fluorescent lamp base facing the socket, and a corresponding concave or convex portion can be formed on the socket that engages with the convex or concave portion.
0066
Claim10The fluorescent lamp device of the invention is characterized by comprising: a fluorescent lamp body in which hot cathode electrodes are sealed at both ends of a glass discharge tube with an outer diameter of 23 mm or less; a synthetic resin base base base that is attached to the ends of the glass discharge tube and forms an internal space; and a base that is supported on the base base base and includes four contacts connected to both ends of the hot cathode electrodes of the fluorescent lamp body; and a socket that includes an insulating socket base base, four receptacles supported on the socket base base, and a heat-sensitive element that is disposed on the socket base base in a position close to the hot cathode electrodes of the fluorescent lamp body when the fluorescent lamp is attached.
0067
The present invention is configured to detect the end of a fluorescent lamp's life by arranging a thermal element in the socket.
0068
In this invention, a thermal element, such as a thermistor, is placed in the socket. When the hot cathode electrode of the fluorescent lamp is located outside the base, the thermal element can be placed opposite the hot cathode electrode. This improves sensitivity.
0069
Claim11The lighting device of the present invention comprises a lighting device main body and a lighting device provided in the lighting device main body.9and the fluorescent lamp lighting device according to the present invention.
0070
The present invention relates to claims 1 to8Therefore, in the present invention, the term "illumination device" refers to a lighting device having the following configuration and function:exampleThis refers to any device that uses the light emitted by fluorescent lamps, such as lighting fixtures, display devices, and reading devices.
0071

0076
The connecting pipe 1a2 is formed by blowing.
0077
If the distance from the inner surface of the tip of the glass tube 1a1 to the base of the tip of the connecting tube is 10 mm or more, the coldest spot can be formed at the tip of the glass tube 1a1. If the distance is less than 5 to 10 mm, the required mercury vapor pressure can be ensured by forming the coldest spot behind the hot cathode electrode 1b.

0133
By locating the thermal fuse 3 as close as possible to the glass discharge tube 1a, it is possible to minimize the decrease in sensitivity of the thermal fuse 3. Furthermore, the above-mentioned position of the base 2 leaves relatively ample space, making design easier.
0134
Figure 15 shows the fluorescent lamp of the present invention.inFIG. 22 is a cross-sectional view showing a main part of an eleventh embodiment.
0135
In this figure, parts that are the same as those in Figure 2 are given the same symbols and their explanations are omitted.
0136
This embodiment differs in that a thermal fuse (not shown) is provided as in each of the above-described embodiments, or a light flux sensor 9 is provided separately.
0137
The luminous flux sensors 9 are disposed on the base base 2a opposite both ends of the glass discharge tube 1a and connected via lead wires 10 to contacts 11 disposed on the outer bottom surface of the base base 2a. A receptacle connected to the contacts 11 is disposed in a socket (not shown). When a fluorescent lamp is attached to the socket, it is connected via the socket to the control means of the inverter lighting device. When the luminous flux of the fluorescent lamp drops to a predetermined value, it is determined that the lamp has reached the end of its life and the fluorescent lamp is turned off.
0138
Figure 16 is a circuit diagram showing a first embodiment of a fluorescent lamp lighting device of the present invention.
0139
In the figure, 21 is an AC power supply, 22 is an inverter lighting device, 23 is a socket, 24 is a starting circuit, 25 is a base, and 26 is a fluorescent lamp body.
0140
The inverter lighting device 22 includes a rectifier means, an inverter means and a ballast means, and transmits a high-frequency output between output lines 22a and 22b.
0141
The socket 23 has four receiving plates 23a, 23b, 23c, and 23d arranged at the vertices of a square.
0142
The starting circuit 24 consists of a capacitor and is either external or built into the socket 23.
0143
The base 25 has four contacts 25a, 25b, 25c, and 25d facing each of the receptacles 23a, 23b, 23c, and 23d of the socket 23, and also incorporates two thermal fuses 3a and 3b, one end of which is connected to the contacts 25a and 25c.
0144
The fluorescent lamp body 26 has one hot cathode electrode 26a whose ends are connected to the other end of the temperature fuse 3a and the contact 25b of the base 25, and the other hot cathode electrode 26b whose ends are connected to the other end of the temperature fuse 3b and the contact 25d of the base 25.
0145
In the connection state shown in the figure, the temperature fuse 3a is interposed between the inverter lighting device 22 and the fluorescent lamp body 26, so when the temperature fuse 3a is broken, the fluorescent lamp body 26 becomes unlit.
0146
Therefore, if the temperature fuse 3a is designed to respond to abnormal temperature increases at both ends of the fluorescent lamp body 26, it can protect against the end of the life of one of the hot cathode electrodes.
0147
In contrast, if the base 25 is attached to the socket 23 in the opposite orientation to that shown in the figure, the thermal fuse 3b is now interposed between the inverter lighting device 22 and the fluorescent lamp body 26, providing similar protection. In other words, in this embodiment, if thermal fuse 3a or 3b is used alone with the socket 23, it has polarity, but because the fluorescent lamp is equipped with both thermal fuses 3a and 3b, it becomes non-polar.
0148
Figure 17 shows the fluorescent lamp lighting device of the present invention.inFIG. 10 is a circuit diagram showing a second embodiment.
0149
In the figure, parts that are the same as those in Figure 16 are given the same symbols and their explanations are omitted.
0150
This embodiment differs in that the connection of the inverter lighting device 22 to the socket 23 has been improved, making it non-polar to the socket 23 even though there is only one thermal fuse.
0151
That is, the output line of the inverter lighting device 22 is connected to the receptacles 23a and 23c, which are diagonally spaced apart on the socket 23. The starting circuit 24 is then connected to the remaining diagonally spaced receptacles 23b and 23d.
0152
The thermal fuse 3 is connected only to the contact 25a inside the base 25.
0153
In the position shown, the thermal fuse 3 is interposed between the inverter lighting device 22 and the fluorescent lamp body 26 via the receptacle 22a, providing protection. On the other hand, if the base 25 is connected in the opposite direction to that shown, the thermal fuse 3 is also interposed via the receptacle 23c, providing protection.
0154
If necessary, a second thermal fuse 3" can be connected at the position shown by the dotted line in the figure.
0155
Figure 18 shows the fluorescent lamp device of the present invention.OkeruFIG. 2 is a side view showing a main part of the first embodiment.
0156
In the figure, 31 is the socket, 32 is the fluorescent lamp, and 33 is the heat-sensitive element.
0157
The socket 31 comprises a socket base 31a, a receiving metal 31b, a guide portion 31c and a locking protrusion 31d.
0158
The fluorescent lamp 32 has a fluorescent lamp body 32a and a base 32b.
0159
The base 32b has a locking recess 32b1 formed on one side opposite the locking protrusion 31d of the socket 31.
0160
The heat-sensitive element 33 is disposed in the socket 31 at a position facing the end of the fluorescent lamp body 32a when the fluorescent lamp 32 is installed. The output line of the heat-sensitive element 33 is led out so that it is input to the control means of the inverter lighting device.
0161
When the hot cathode electrode reaches the end of its life while the fluorescent lamp 32 is lit in the socket 31, an abnormal temperature rise occurs near the end of the fluorescent lamp body 32a. This temperature rise is detected by a heat-sensitive element 33 disposed in the socket 31. The inverter lighting device is controlled in response to the detection signal. The inverter lighting device can be controlled by stopping the power supply to the fluorescent lamp, supplying lighting power intermittently, reducing output, etc.
0162
In addition, by forming a locking protrusion 31d on the socket 31 and a locking recess 32b1 on the base 32, it is possible to prevent the incorrect insertion of different types of fluorescent lamps. Furthermore, the above-mentioned locking protrusion 31d and locking recess 32b1 can also be used when it is necessary to assign polarity to the base 32b of the fluorescent lamp 32 relative to the socket 31.
0163
Figure 19 shows the fluorescent lamp device of the present invention.inFIG. 10 is a plan view showing a base according to a second embodiment.
0164
In this figure, parts that are the same as those in Figure 18 are given the same symbols and their explanations are omitted.
0165
In this embodiment, a locking protrusion 32b1' is formed on the base 32. Therefore, a locking recess is formed on the socket side.
0166
Figure 20 is an oblique view of a lighting fixture for emergency parking lanes in tunnels, which is one embodiment of the lighting device of the present invention.
0167
In the figure, 41 is the lighting fixture body and 42 is the fluorescent lamp.
0168
The lighting fixture body 41 comprises a shallow box-shaped base 41a with an open bottom, a bottom cover 41b that closes the bottom opening of the base 41a, a socket 41c arranged at one end of the base 41a, a lamp holder 41d arranged at the other end, a reflector optically opposed to the fluorescent lamp 42 (not shown), and an inverter lighting device.
0169
The bottom cover 41b consists of a cover frame 41b1 and a glass plate 41b2 attached to the cover frame 41b1, and is attached to the base 41a so that it can be opened and closed freely using hinges 41e and latches 41f.
0170
The fixture body 41 is attached to a predetermined location using the mounting arm 41g.
0171
Since the lamp holder 41d is made of metal, if the tip of the fluorescent lamp 42 is to be the coldest part, supporting this tip can also assist in the heat dissipation function of the coldest part.
