Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability and strength by winding up one end of a bank reinforcing material made of geotextile, on a connection bar and fixing the connection bar to an earth-retaining member. SOLUTION: A recessed groove 5 opened at the lateral upper side is provided at the upper end of a wall face block 1, and the grooves 5 of respective blocks 1 are continuously connected to the lateral direction of the retaining wall A. soil 2 is filled while embedding the bank reinforcing material 3 in a plurality of layers at the back face of the retaining wall A. In this time, one end 3a of the reinforcing material 3 made of geotextile is wound with a connection bar 4 and the material 3 and the bar 4 are fitted in the groove 5 and fixed by nails, screws or adhesive as it is required. The bar 4 is made of synthetic resin or a metal and formed to have a flat rectangular section so as to be hard to rotate even if the reinforcing material 3 is tugged. In this way, the end of the bank reinforcing material can be firmly connected to the retaining wall and the function thereof can be sufficiently brought out without being easily broken even if a large tensile force acts on the material at the time of rolling of the bank or subsidence after the execution.
