2. Description of the Related Art Generally, in a building having an earthquake-resistant structure and various kinds of equipment with vibration, the vibration is transmitted between a pair of members so that harmful vibration is not transmitted from a member on a vibration input side to another member. Various forms of dampers for interception or suppression are interposed. FIG. 5 shows a damper 1 using a conventional viscous material, which is a kind of such a damper and is interposed between beams on upper and lower floors of the above-mentioned earthquake-resistant building. The damper 1 includes a main body 2 fixed to a lower beam.
And a displacement plate 3 fixed to the upper beam. Here, the main body 2 has a box shape having a width dimension substantially equal to a wall thickness of which an upper part is opened, and a viscous body 4 such as oil is housed inside.

On the other hand, the displacement plate 3 is a plate-shaped member that hangs down from an upper beam, and is inserted into the body 2 from the upper opening thereof so as to be relatively displaceable. Thereby, the viscous body 4 is filled between the displacement plate 3 and the inner wall of the main body 2. According to the damper 1 having the above configuration, when the lower structure vibrates during an earthquake or the like, the vibration is caused by the shear resistance of the viscous body 4 between the main body 2 and the displacement plate 3 that are relatively displaced in the direction of the arrow in FIG. Attenuates the transmission of this vibration to the upper structure.

FIG. 6 shows a damper 5 using a viscoelastic body interposed in a brace of a frame of the earthquake-resistant building. The damper 5 is provided between a main body 6 attached to an upper end of the brace extending from a corner of the lower structure of the frame and a displacement portion 7 attached to an opposite corner of the upper structure of the frame. And a viscoelastic body 8 having a predetermined thickness.
According to the damper 5, when the frame is going to be deformed due to vibration applied to the lower structure during an earthquake or the like, the above-described compression force and tensile force acting on the brace provided between the upper and lower structures are not affected by the above-mentioned. Since the viscoelastic body 8 resists shearing due to its viscosity and elasticity, the compressive force and the tensile force are buffered, and the transmission of vibration to the upper structure can be suppressed.

Among the dampers 1 and 5, the damper 1 using a viscous material has a displacement plate 3 in order to allow the viscous material 4 to exhibit a sufficient shear resistance. The thickness of the viscous body between the inner wall of the main body 2 and the inner wall of the main body 2 needs to be several millimeters. In addition, even in the case of the damper 5 using a viscoelastic body, in order to give the viscoelastic body 8 a desired energy absorbing ability and exhibit an effective resistance, generally, the thickness dimension of the damper 5 is required. It is necessary to generate a shear strain of about 10%. For this reason, in each of the dampers 1 and 5, there is a problem that it is difficult to obtain an effective resistance to a minute deformation of 1 mm or less.

In the damper according to the first aspect, since the gap between the spiral wall of the main body and the spiral plate of the displacement portion is filled with a viscous material, vibrations such as earthquakes are caused. When the relative displacement occurs in the insertion direction of the plate portion due to the above, the wall portion and the plate portion receive shear resistance from the viscous body between them. At this time, the wall portion and the plate portion are formed in a spiral shape, and a viscous body is filled between them, so that
The contact area between each of them and the viscous body becomes large, so that the viscous body effectively exerts shear resistance even at the time of extremely small deformation, and thereby a large shear resistance can be obtained. In addition, since the wall portion and the plate portion are formed in a helical shape, they are constrained to each other in an out-of-plane direction, so that an effect of preventing buckling of the member can be obtained. As a result, the vibration is effectively attenuated, and the transmission of the vibration to the displacement portion side is suppressed.

Further, in the damper according to the second aspect, since the viscoelastic body is sandwiched between the spirally formed main body and the displacement portion, the same as the damper according to the first aspect, the earthquake When relative displacement occurs in the insertion direction of the displacement part due to vibrations such as the above, the viscoelastic body between the main body part and the displacement part undergoes shear deformation, thereby generating shear resistance. At this time,
In order for the viscoelastic body to exhibit a resistance, a relative displacement of about 10% with respect to its thickness is required. However, since the main body and the displacement portion are formed in a spiral shape, The thickness of the viscoelastic body becomes thin, so that it becomes possible to effectively generate shear resistance even at the time of very small deformation. Further, since the main body and the displacement portion are formed in a spiral shape, and the viscoelastic body is spirally interposed between them, the contact area between these and the viscoelastic body increases, and as described above. Since the thickness of the viscoelastic body is reduced, the function of the device can be maintained without lowering the shear resistance of the entire device.
In addition, as a result of forming the main body portion and the displacement portion in a spiral shape, each of the main body portion and the displacement portion is constrained in an out-of-plane direction in the same manner as in the first aspect, thereby preventing buckling of the member. The effect is also obtained. As described above, according to the damper of the first or second aspect, it is possible to effectively exert resistance to a minute deformation of 1 mm or less, and to obtain excellent responsiveness.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS (Embodiment 1) FIGS.
1 shows a first embodiment of a damper according to the present invention,
In the figure, reference numeral 10 denotes a damper. The damper 10 is interposed between a pair of upper and lower members that are relatively displaced, and has a bottomed cylindrical main body 11 attached to a lower member and a displacement unit 12 attached to an upper member. ing. Here, inside the main body 11, a spiral plate-shaped wall portion 13 is erected integrally with the bottom plate 14, and a viscous body 17 such as oil is filled to a predetermined depth. On the other hand, the displacing portion 12 has a spiral plate portion 16 inserted between the wall portions 13 on the lower surface of the top plate 15 so as to be integrally provided therewith. Is inserted through a gap. Thereby, the viscous body 17 is filled between the wall portion 13 and the plate portion 16 which form a spiral.

In the damper 10 having the above structure, the spiral wall 13 of the main body 11 and the displacement
Since the viscous material 17 is filled between the helical plate portion 2 and the helical plate portion 2, when a relative displacement occurs in the insertion direction of the plate portion 16 as shown by an arrow in the figure due to vibration such as an earthquake, the wall portion 13 is formed. And the plate portion 16 receive shear resistance from the viscous body 17 located therebetween. At this time, the wall portion 13 and the plate portion 16 are formed in a spiral shape facing each other, and the viscous body 17 is filled between them, so that the contact area between each of them and the viscous body 17 increases. Therefore, the viscous body 17 effectively exerts the shear resistance from the time of the very small deformation, whereby a large shear resistance can be obtained. In addition, since the wall portion 13 and the plate portion 16 are formed in a helical shape, they are restrained from each other in an out-of-plane direction, so that an effect of preventing buckling of the member can be obtained. As a result, the vibration can be effectively attenuated, and the transmission of the vibration to the displacement portion side can be suppressed.

As described above, according to the above damper 10,
The shear resistance of the viscous body 17 is generated even by a very slight displacement of the main body 11, and furthermore, the wall 13 and the plate 1
Since the contact area between the viscous body 6 and the viscous body 17 is extremely large, it is possible to effectively exert resistance to a small deformation such as 1 mm or less, so that excellent responsiveness can be obtained.

(Embodiment 2) FIG. 4 shows a second embodiment of a damper according to the present invention.
Numeral 0 is a damper using a viscoelastic body interposed between a pair of members that are relatively displaced. The damper 0 is a helical plate-shaped main body 21 attached to one member, and a helical plate attached to the other member. And a viscoelastic body 23 sandwiched between the main body portion 21 and the displacement portion 22.

In the damper 20 having the above structure, the viscoelastic body 23 is sandwiched between the spirally formed main body portion 21 and the displacement portion 22, so that the damper 20 is similar to the damper 10 shown in the first embodiment. When a relative displacement occurs in the insertion direction of the displacement portion 22 due to vibration such as an earthquake,
The viscoelastic body 23 between 1 and the displacement portion 22 undergoes shear deformation, thereby generating shear resistance. Here, in order for the viscoelastic body 23 to exert a resistance force, a relative displacement of about 10% with respect to its thickness is required, but the main body 21 and the displacement portion 22 are formed in a spiral shape. As a result, the thickness of the viscoelastic body 23 is reduced, and therefore, it becomes possible to effectively generate shear resistance even at the time of minimal deformation.

Further, since the main body portion 21 and the displacement portion 22 are formed spirally and the viscoelastic body 23 is spirally interposed therebetween, the contact area between the viscoelastic body 23 and these is large. In addition, since the thickness of the viscoelastic body is reduced as described above, the function of the device can be maintained without lowering the shear resistance of the entire device. In addition, as in the first embodiment, the main body 21
As a result of spirally forming the displacement part 22 and the displacement part 22, each of them is restrained in an out-of-plane direction, so that an effect of preventing buckling of the member can be obtained. Therefore, even with the damper 20, the same effect as that shown in the first embodiment can be obtained.
