Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a level detector by which whether a liquid to be detected reaches a target level or not can be detected precisely even when a liquid having a resistance of 50 KΩ.cm or higher is to be measured, even when an area capable of detecting a level is narrow in the case of a spot soldering apparatus or the like and even when the detection area of a level is influenced badly by a high-temperature corrosive gas or the like. SOLUTION: The circumference of a linear detecting electrode 2 is covered with a tubular conductor 4 for interference prevention via an insulator 3. An operational amplifier 8 is connected across the electrode 2 connected to an AC power supply 7 and a judgment circuit 9 (used when whether a liquid 12 to be detected reaches a target level or not is judged on the basis of an input voltage value) in such a way that it constitutes a voltage follower circuit and that it is connected also to the connector 4. As a member for the detection of a level, a measuring electric wire 1 in which the long extended detecting electrode 2 is used as a core and in which a detection part 5 is provided at its tip is adopted.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a so-called contact type liquid level detector has been used to detect whether or not a target liquid is at a target liquid level. In this type of liquid level detector, generally, a detection electrode needle and a ground electrode needle are attached to a base member so as to be substantially parallel to each other, and a measurement power supply is connected in series with these electrodes together with a reference resistor. Consisting of
At the time of measurement, the base member is fixed to the container containing the target liquid, and the target liquid comes into contact with the detection electrode needle and the ground electrode needle, and a current may flow between the two electrode needles. That is, it is possible to detect whether or not the liquid is at a target liquid level (that is, the liquid level at which the liquid can come into contact with the electrode needle). This type of conventional liquid level detector is suitable when the target liquid is a liquid having a relatively high electrical conductivity. In particular, in addition to the water surface height, for example, a soldering flux bath (solvent) : Isopropyl alcohol).

However, recently, in order to meet the requirement of eliminating the chlorofluorocarbon cleaning of the printed circuit board after the soldering process and changing the cleaning process, solutes such as rosin are modified as fluxes for soldering. Or a modified one, or a significantly reduced solute concentration has been developed and started to be used. Such recent soldering fluxes are considerably higher resistance (less conductive) liquids than conventional products. For this reason,
When a conventionally used contact-type liquid level detector is used to detect the liquid level of the soldering flux bath, there has been a problem that erroneous detection or detection failure sometimes occurs. This is because part of the measured current is moisture and target liquid (flux) attached to the surface of the base member, especially around the electrode needle.
It is presumed that when the target liquid is a liquid having a higher resistance, the magnitude of the leakage current is not negligible in terms of liquid level detection accuracy. You. In short, the conventional liquid level detector, when the liquid to be measured is a high-resistance liquid,
It is not very suitable for use in detecting the arrival of the target liquid at the target liquid level.

In addition, in a conventional contact type liquid level detector, a straight metal bare needle is generally used as a detection or grounding electrode. Therefore, this conventional liquid level detector is convenient for detecting the height of the liquid filled in the container, but is in an area where the liquid level can be detected due to an obstacle or the like that hinders the detection of the liquid level. Is small, and the room for the liquid level detection is very small, for example, when the discharge port of the flux is a small-diameter port, and the distance between the discharge port and the printed circuit board passing above the discharge port is very small. In the spot soldering system, if it is detected whether the flux liquid rises and reaches the upper edge of the discharge port, it is difficult to equip the electrode needle, and the liquid level cannot be detected, so take measures Had the disadvantage of not being able to do so.

In the conventional contact type liquid level detector, electronic components such as a reference resistor and a liquid level determination circuit are attached to or incorporated in a base member for fixing an electrode needle from the viewpoint of miniaturization of the device. Often finished in a configuration. But,
If the sensing area of the liquid level is exposed to high temperature, the atmosphere of the sensing area is filled with corrosive gas, or
In the case where the detection area receives strong electric noise, the electronic components are not far from the liquid level detection area in the conventional liquid level detector. Also has a disadvantage that the possibility of occurrence of phenomena is high. As a countermeasure, a method of covering the electrode needle with an insulator so that the electrode needle is surrounded by a grounded conductor (a so-called shield material) can be considered. However, this method has a large capacitance between the grounded conductor and the electrode needle in the AC operation,
The sensitivity of the liquid level detection cannot be raised to a satisfactory level, and the AC frequency used for measurement cannot be set to a high value. It has the disadvantage that electrolysis of the electrode needle occurs.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION According to the present invention, a tube-shaped conductor for preventing interference is coated around a linear detection electrode via an insulator, and an operational amplifier (op-amp) is provided.
A voltage follower is provided between the wiring connecting the detection electrode and the power supply for measurement and a determination circuit (that is, a circuit that determines whether the target liquid has reached a target liquid level based on the input voltage value). By connecting so that a circuit is configured and also connected to the interference preventing conductor,
The input voltage value to the determination circuit can always be accurately determined without being substantially affected by the impedance value around the detection electrode. In addition, the present invention provides a liquid that adopts a bendable measurement wire having a detection portion at the tip thereof, which is a wire having a detection electrode in the form of a long wire extending as a core, instead of the conventional hard electrode needle. Even if the area where the position can be detected is very small,
A member for detecting the liquid level is disposed up to such a liquid level detecting area, and the detecting unit can be made to face the area. Furthermore, the present invention provides a measuring wire which eliminates the conventional base member of the electrode needle and extends the electronic components such as the operational amplifier and the judging circuit described above, especially on the base end side thereof (the side opposite to the detecting section at the tip end). By connecting the electronic component for detecting the liquid level, the electronic component for detecting the liquid level is placed at a position remote from the detection area of the liquid level of the target liquid, and the liquid level detection can be measured.

The liquid level detector of the present invention detects arrival of a target liquid at a target liquid level by contact between a detection portion of a measuring wire and the target liquid. The measuring wire is a long-lined detection electrode (metal conductor) and a tube-shaped interference prevention conductor (conductive) that covers the periphery of the detection electrode via an insulator (insulating rubber, resin, etc.). A metal tube) and an insulator covering the periphery of the conductor if desired. For example, a coaxial cable including a shaft core and a woven electric wire around the shaft core can be used as the measurement electric wire. The detection electrode may be made of a conductive material. However, in the case of a steel or copper electrode, durability is deteriorated due to rust. Therefore, generally, an electrode made of stainless steel, titanium, or the like is used, or a rust preventive coating described below is applied to the outer surface of the electrode. The conductor for preventing interference may be a conductor that substantially covers the periphery of the detection electrode, and does not necessarily need to completely cover the entire periphery of the electrode. Further, the detection portion at the tip of the detection electrode is not covered with the conductor for preventing interference and is exposed. The shape of the detection unit is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include a linear shape and a ring shape. When the target liquid is a corrosive liquid, the detection part of the detection electrode, the ground electrode, and the conductor for preventing interference (at least with respect to a portion that can come into contact with the target liquid) are more preferably made of, for example, a fluororesin (PTFE). (Trade name: Teflon). In this case, the detection portion of the detection electrode is preferably in the form of a flat plate, a sphere, or a foil (for example, in the form of a copper-clad printed circuit board) from the viewpoint of forming a rust-preventive film and detecting accuracy. preferable.

One terminal of the measurement AC power supply or the DC power supply is connected to the detection electrode via a reference resistor, and the other terminal is grounded. The AC power supply or the DC power supply is not particularly limited with respect to its type and structure. When the container filled with the liquid to be measured is made of a conductive material, the container is also grounded. When the container for the target liquid is made of an insulator, a ground electrode connected to a power supply is inserted into the container. Various conventional operational amplifiers can be used as the operational amplifier. In the present invention, the input non-inverting terminal is connected to the detection electrode or to a wiring between the detection electrode and the measurement AC power supply or DC power supply. The output terminal is feedback-connected to the inverting terminal of the input to form a voltage follower circuit, and at the same time, the output terminal is also connected to the anti-interference conductor. The determination circuit is connected to the output terminal of the operational amplifier, and determines whether or not the target liquid has reached a target liquid level based on the input AC voltage value or DC voltage value. The circuit configuration is arbitrary.

The DC level detector is generally used when the electrolysis of the detection electrode is extremely slow during operation and when it is not necessary to apply a rust-proof coating due to the properties of the target liquid.

Next, the function of the liquid level detector of the embodiment when it is used will be described. The liquid level detector is, for example, in a spot soldering system, as shown in FIG. 5, such that the detector 5 at the tip of the measuring wire 1 faces the small-diameter flux outlet 14.
Will be arranged. Although the gap between the flux discharge port 14 and the printed circuit board 15 passing above it is very narrow, that is, the area where the member for detecting the liquid level can be equipped is a very narrow area, but the measuring electric wire 1 is flexible. In addition, since the liquid level detection is performed only at the tip detection unit 5, the liquid level detector of this embodiment can be provided in such a spot soldering system and used for liquid level detection. In addition, in the liquid level detector of the present embodiment, the main body 10 can be installed at a position distant from the liquid level detection area.
Has a negative effect on the sensing area of the liquid level (eg high temperature,
(Corrosive gas, etc.). When the target liquid (flux liquid) 12 does not reach the upper edge of the discharge port 14, the detection electrode 2 and the ground container 13 are insulated, but the target liquid 12 is Rise to the edge,
When the liquid surface comes into contact with the detection electrode 2, an AC current flows from the AC power source 7 through the resistor Rx between the target liquid 12, the detection electrode 2, and the reference resistor Rs. The AC voltage between the non-inverting terminal of the input and the output terminal of the input terminal drops, and the dropped AC voltage value is determined by the determination circuit 9.
Then, the determination circuit 9 determines whether or not the target liquid 12 has reached the target liquid level (the height of the upper edge of the flux discharge port 14) based on the input AC voltage value.

As can be seen from the equivalent circuit of FIG. 3, in this embodiment, the output terminal of the operational amplifier 8 and the non-inverting terminal of the input are maintained at the same potential, and the output impedance of the operational amplifier 8 is impedance Rc between 1 and the ground electrode, so as to become lower by enough compared to C 1, no current flows substantially between the detection electrode 2 and the conductor 4, also, the operational amplifier the output voltage of 8 both components Rc of the impedance, and shall not be affected by C 1. Further, the capacitor component C 3, when a small portion of the detection unit 5 that is particularly exposed, since those having a sufficiently large impedance value than the other impedance elements, can be ignored. Therefore, the input voltage value to the judgment circuit 9 is determined only by the ratio of the electric resistance Rs of the reference resistor 6 and the electric resistance Rx between the detection electrode 2 and the ground container 13 containing the target liquid 12. The Rukoto. Therefore, in the liquid level detector of the present embodiment, for example, 10
Even when the soldering flux liquid having a conductivity of 0 to 200 kΩ · cm is used as the measurement target liquid 12 for the liquid level detection, the liquid surface of the target liquid 12 is always accurately positioned on the upper edge of the flux discharge port 14. Can be detected. More specifically, the target liquid 12 has a conductivity of 1-2.
When the flux of MΩ · cm (solvent: isopropyl alcohol) is used, the liquid level detector of the present embodiment is used under the following elements and conditions so that the foam surface of the flux has a target height (flux discharge port). 14 upper edge) could be accurately detected without malfunction. Operational amplifier 8: Bipolar transistor type operational amplifier Frequency of AC power supply 7: 100Hz Reference resistance Rs: resistor of 20MΩ Measurement wire 1: Coaxial cable 2.5C-2V, length 5m Detector 5: Ring shape, exposed portion of which is 5mm In addition, when a general-purpose operational amplifier is used as the operational amplifier 8, a known operational amplifier operating circuit or an appropriate reactance component is added to supplement and enhance the performance of the operational amplifier 8. The gain may be improved or the gain may be changed. Further, by applying the bootstrap method, the impedance of the operational amplifier 8 may be further increased, and the noise immunity may be improved by adding a clamp diode. Is also good. In addition,
When the detection area of the liquid level, for example, the vicinity of the flux discharge port 14 is adversely affected by the corrosive gas, more preferably,
A part (a part that can come into contact with the target liquid 12) of the detection part 5 and the conductor 4 of the measurement electric wire 1 is coated with a rust-preventive coating such as fluororesin (PTFE) by baking coating. In this case, the same rust preventive coating is applied to the surface of the container (flux discharge cylinder) 13 of the target liquid 12. FIG. 6 shows an equivalent circuit in such a case. In the figure, C 4 represents the capacitance generated between the detection unit 5 and the target liquid 12 by the rust preventive coating, and C 5 represents the capacitance generated between the target liquid 12 and the container 13 by the rust preventive coating. .
