A method of adding a nonionic polymer flocculant after the addition of ferric chloride, and finally adding lime and performing a continuous vacuum filtration and dehydration treatment is a method of adding a large amount of the nonionic polymer flocculant to form a flocculated sludge. However, it has a drawback that it becomes floc-like and does not adhere to the surface of the filter cloth and the cake slips off. If the amount is too small, the addition amounts of ferric chloride and lime cannot be reduced, and there is a drawback that control is difficult. An object of the present invention is to reduce the amount of ferric chloride and lime added without difficulty in control. An object of the present invention is to reduce the amount of an inorganic coagulant used in continuous vacuum filtration and dehydration of organic sludge, reduce the amount of cake generated, and increase the organic matter content in the cake, thereby disposing of cake such as composting. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for dewatering sludge which facilitates the process.

When a nonionic polymer flocculant such as polyacrylamide or polyacrylic acid hydrazide is used in place of the polymer flocculant having a cationic group, the floc is excessively large and does not adhere to the filter cloth. It becomes fine floc and cannot be filtered and dewatered easily, and is not practical.

Ferric chloride is usually marketed as a 38% aqueous solution, and has a solid form of 5% per sludge SS (a pure content of 1.9%).
The lime is added above the amount that compensates for the decrease in PH due to ferric chloride. When lime is used as a filter aid, it needs to be added in a large amount, but by using various filter aids together, the required amount of addition can be reduced.

From Table 1, it can be seen that Examples 1-4 in which (meth) acrylic cationic water-soluble polymers (sample-1 to sample-4) were added to organic sludge in combination with ferric chloride and lime.
It can be seen that the operation can be performed with good releasability in a state where the addition amounts of ferric chloride and lime are reduced by half, and the water content of the cake is also reduced. On the other hand, Comparative Example 1 using a commercially available acrylamide homopolymer (Sample-7) and Comparative Example 2 using a commercially available polyacrylic hydrazide (Sample-8) require less amounts of ferric chloride and lime. In the state reduced to half, peeling was impossible. Comparative Example 3 in which the dehydration test was performed in the same manner as in Examples 1 to 4 except that the addition amount of ferric chloride and lime was doubled without using the polymer flocculant (polymer), the operation could be performed with good peelability. However, the cake has a lot of water. Examples 1 to 4 except that no polymer flocculant (polymer) was used.
Comparative Example 4, in which a dehydration test was performed in the same manner as in Example 4, was not peelable.

(Examples 5 to 13) Mixed sludge (SS: 30,000 mg / l) containing 50% of anaerobic digested sludge, 35% of primary sludge, and 35% of excess sludge was placed in a 2 liter polybeaker. After adding the indicated amount of ferric chloride and stirring, Table 2
The polymer flocculant (polymer) described was added and stirred, and finally, the amount of lime described in Table 2 was added in a slurry form and stirred to complete the sludge refining. The sludge sampling amount was 1 liter, and stirring conditions were jar test stirring at 200 rpm for 1 minute after each chemical addition. Then, using the sludge that has been subjected to the refining, the sewage test method, Chapter 4, "General Sludge Test, Section 14"
The dehydration test was performed according to the description in “4 Leaf test”. Vacuum pressure is -400 mmHg. Leaf area 95cm
2 . The time for immersing the leaf in the refined sludge is 1 minute, and then the leaf is pulled up and suction-treated for 1 minute. Finally, the water content was determined from the weight of the wet cake formed on the leaf, the amount of the filtrate, the peelability of the cake, and the weight of the dry cake dried at 105 ° C. for 24 hours. The results are shown in Table 2.

From Table 2, it can be seen from Examples 5 to 11 that (meth) acrylic cationic water-soluble polymers (sample-1 to sample-4) were added to organic sludge in combination with ferric chloride and lime.
Example 12 to Example in which an N-vinylformamide / acrylonitrile copolymer hydrochloride hydrolyzate (Sample-5) or polydimethyldiallylammonium chloride (Sample-6) was added in combination with ferric chloride and lime. No. 13, sludge treatment amount increases, and the addition amount of ferric chloride and lime can be reduced by half. In contrast, Comparative Example 5 using a commercially available acrylamide homopolymer (Sample-7) and Comparative Example 6 using a commercially available polyacrylic hydrazide (Sample-8)
Could not be peeled off when the amounts of ferric chloride and lime were reduced by half. In Comparative Example 7 in which a dehydration test was performed in the same manner as in Example 5 without using the polymer flocculant (polymer), the sludge treatment amount was reduced. Comparative Example 8 in which a dehydration test was performed in the same manner as in Examples 6 to 13 except that the polymer flocculant (polymer) was not used, was not peelable.

EFFECT OF THE INVENTION A good sludge treatment effect can be obtained even when the addition amount of ferric chloride and lime is reduced to half by adding a cationic polymer flocculant. The sludge dewatering method of the present invention can reduce the amount of an inorganic coagulant used in continuous vacuum filtration and dehydration of organic sludge, reduce the amount of cake generated, and increase the organic matter content of the cake, Cake disposal methods such as conversion can be easily applied.
