(57)【要約】 【課題】 トップシートの柔軟弾性を失うことがない体
液吸収性物品を提供する。 【解決手段】 互いに並行して長手方向へ延びる一対
の側縁を有する吸液性コア４と、コア４の上面を被覆す
る透液性トップシート２と、コア４の下面を被覆する不
透液性バックシート５とを備えた体液吸収性物品１であ
り、トップシート２には、少なくともコア４を被覆する
領域の一部に幅方向へ連続して波状に起伏し、長手方向
へ延びる複数の凹部２ａと凸部２ｂとが形成されてい
る。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、生理用ナプキン、
吸血パッド、失禁パッド、使い捨ておむつ等の体液吸収
性物品に関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】生理用ナプキンや使い捨ておむつ等の体
液吸収性物品は、透液性トップシートと、不透液性バッ
クシートと、これら両シートの間に介在する吸液性コア
とで構成されている。トップシートとしては、不織布、
合成樹脂フィルムが使用される。
【０００３】
【発明が解決しようとする課題】これらの物品は、柔軟
にして弾性のある不織布を使用することによって、着用
時の肌触りを向上させることができる。しかし、中央部
のみが高く形成されているいわゆる中高なコアの場合に
は、物品の製造過程において、その中高な部分に不織布
が圧接して、不織布本来の柔軟弾性を失うことがある。
合成樹脂フィルムには、不織布のような柔軟弾性を期待
することができない。
【０００４】本発明の課題は、吸液性コアが中高なもの
であっても、トップシートの柔軟弾性を失うことがない
体液吸収性物品を提供することである。
【０００５】
【課題を解決するための手段】前記課題を解決するため
に、本発明が前提とするのは、互いに並行して長手方向
へ延びる一対の側縁を有する吸液性コアと、前記コアの
上面を被覆する透液性トップシートと、前記コアの下面
を被覆する不透液性バックシートとを備えた体液吸収性
物品である。
【０００６】かかる前提において、本発明が特徴とする
ところは、前記トップシートには、少なくとも前記コア
を被覆する領域の一部に幅方向へ連続して波状に起伏
し、前記長手方向へ延びる複数の凹部と凸部とが形成さ
れていることにある。
【０００７】本発明の実施の態様の一例としては、前記
凹部から前記凸部までの高さが、１．５〜１０．０ｍｍ
の範囲にあり、かつ、互いに隣接する前記凸部の間隔
が、１．０〜１５．０ｍｍの範囲にある。
【０００８】実施の態様の他の一例において、前記コア
と前記トップシートとが、前記コアの両側縁近傍におい
て前記長手方向へ延びる圧搾条溝により互いに接合され
ている。
【０００９】本発明の実施の態様の他の一例として、前
記コアの中央領域が、該コアの周辺領域よりも高く形成
されている。
【００１０】
【発明の実施の形態】本発明に係る体液吸収性物品の詳
細を生理用ナプキンを例として説明すると、以下のとお
りである。
【００１１】図１，２は、生理用ナプキン１の部分破断
斜視図と、図１のＡ−Ａ線断面図である。生理用ナプキ
ン１は、透液性トップシート２と、不透液性バックシー
ト５と、これらシート２，５の間に介在する吸液性コア
４と、防漏カバーシート３とにより構成される。
【００１２】トップシート２には、コア４を被覆してい
る領域の少なくとも一部に、コア４の幅方向へ連続して
波状に起伏し、コア４の長手方向へ延びる凹部２ａと凸
部２ｂとが形成されている。凹部２ａの底をコア４の上
面に接合しなくてもよいが、凹部２ａの底が接着剤によ
りコア４の上面に接合されていると、外からかかる圧力
で凹部２ａと凸部２ｂとが座屈しても、波状に復元し易
い。トップシート２において凹部２ａと凸部２ｂとは、
コア４を被覆する領域の全体に形成されていてもよい
が、コア４の周辺領域を除く中央領域にだけ形成されて
いてもよい。
【００１３】トップシート２とバックシート５とは、コ
ア４の両端縁から長手方向外方へ延出する部位と、コア
４の両側縁から幅方向外方へ延出する部位とがこれらシ
ート２，５の内面において、接着剤または熱溶着手段に
より互いに接合されている。トップシート２とコア４と
は、コア４の両側縁に沿って長手方向へ延びる２本の圧
搾条溝６により互いに接合されている。
【００１４】圧搾条溝６は、コア４の両側縁よりもやや
内側にあり、コア４の中央へ向かって凸となるように湾
曲している。圧搾条溝６は、ナプキン１の着用中にトッ
プシート２とコア４とが離間することを防いでいる。
【００１５】防漏カバーシート３は、ナプキン１の外周
部の上面を被覆し、両側部がバックシート５側へ折り返
されてバックシート５の外面に接着剤または熱溶着手段
により接合されている。防漏カバーシート３には、コア
４の中央領域に縦長の開口部３ａが形成され、その開口
部３ａからは、トップシート２の凹部２ａと凸部２ｂと
が露出している。トップシート２と防漏カバーシート３
とは、開口部３ａの周縁で接合されておらず、これら両
シート２，３の間には、経血の漏れを防止するポケット
７が形成されている。図示はしていないが、開口部３ａ
の周縁の少なくとも両側縁には、開口部３ａをトップシ
ート２から上方へ離間させる機能を有する伸縮性弾性部
材が取り付けられていてもよい。
【００１６】図３は、トップシート２の部分断面図であ
って、凹部２ａと凸部２ｂとの断面を示す。凹部２ａの
底から凸部２ｂの頂上までの高さＬは、１．５〜１０．
０ｍｍの範囲、より好ましくは３．０〜１０．０ｍｍの
範囲である。１．５ｍｍ以下の場合は、経血が凸部２ｂ
を乗り越えてナプキン１の幅方向へ流れ易く、経血の横
漏れの原因となる。互いに隣接する凸部２ａどうしの間
隔Ｗは、１．０〜１５．０ｍｍの範囲、より好ましくは
５．０〜１５．０ｍｍの範囲である。トップシート２に
は、コア４を被覆する領域のうちの中央領域に高さＬと
間隔Ｗとが大きい凹部２ａと凸部２ｂとを形成し、周辺
領域に中央領域のそれらよりも小さい凹部２ａと凸部２
ｂとを形成してもよい。
【００１７】トップシート２には、疎水性不織布を親水
化剤で処理したものや親水化剤を練り込んだ繊維からな
る不織布等の親水性不織布が用いられる。これらの不織
布には、熱処理によって捲縮が発現しているクッション
性の高い複合繊維からなるものを使用することが好まし
い。
【００１８】繊維の繊度は、１〜６デニールの範囲が好
ましい。不織布の目付けは、２０〜８０ｇ／ｍ2の範
囲、より好ましくは３０〜８０ｇ／ｍ2の範囲である。
トップシート２の構成としては、上層に単位面積当たり
の密度の低い不織布、下層に単位面積当たりの密度の高
い不織布を積層することもできる。たとえば、上層に繊
度４デニール、目付け２０ｇ／ｍ2の不織布、下層に繊
度２デニール、目付け４０ｇ／ｍ2の不織布を配置して
もよい。このようなトップシート２は、上層の不織布で
の経血の透過速度が下層の不織布よりも速い。上層の不
織布から下層の不織布へ経血を速く透過させることで、
トップシート２の外面での経血の滞留を防止することが
できる。
【００１９】コア４は、木材フラッフパルプと超吸収性
ヒドロゲル粒子との混合物であり、全体がティッシュペ
ーパによって被覆され、所要の厚みに圧縮されている。
【００２０】図４，５は、図１と異なる態様の生理用ナ
プキン１０の部分破断斜視図と、図４のＢ−Ｂ線断面図
である。生理用ナプキン１０は、透液性トップシート１
１と、不透液性バックシート１２と、これらシート１
１，１２のうちの少なくとも一方の内面に接合された吸
液性コア１３とにより構成される。
【００２１】トップシート１１の下方には、中央領域１
３ａが周辺領域１３ｂよりも高い中高のコア１３を介在
させてバックシート１２が位置している。トップシート
１１には、コア１３の中央領域１３ａにコア１３の幅方
向へ連続して波状に起伏し、コア１３の長手方向へ延び
る凹部１１ａと凸部１１ｂとが形成されている。トップ
シート１１は、コア１３の中央領域１３ａを除く周辺領
域１３ｂにおいて接着剤（図示せず）によりコア１３の
上面に接合され、コア１３の両端縁から長手方向外方へ
延出する部位と、コア１３の両側縁から幅方向外方へ延
出する部位とが、接着剤または熱溶着手段によりバック
シート１２に接合されている。
【００２２】コア１３の中央領域１３ａでは、凹部１１
ａの底がコア１３の上面に接合されていないので、ナプ
キン１０の周縁部でトップシート１１とバックシート１
２とを接合するときに、コア１３の中央領域１３ａにお
いてトップシート１１を幅方向外方へ所要の寸法伸長さ
せることができる。故に、かかる中高のコア１３をトッ
プシート１１とバックシート１２とでサンドイッチ状に
被覆しても、コア１３の頂部を圧縮することはなく、コ
ア１３本来の柔軟性を保持することができる。また、コ
ア１３の中央領域１３ａでは、トップシート１１の凹部
１１ａと凸部１１ｂとがクッションとなって着用者に柔
軟な感触を与える。
【００２３】トップシート１１の凹部１１ａの底から凸
部１１ｂの頂上までの高さは、１．５〜４．０ｍｍの範
囲が好ましい。互いに隣接する凸部１１ｂどうしの間隔
は、２．０〜１０．０ｍｍの範囲が好ましい。

【発明の効果】本発明に係る体液吸収性物品によれば、
凹部に体液が流入して縦方向へ拡散するとともに、凸部
が障壁となるので体液の横漏れを防ぐことができる。凹
部と凸部とは、トップシートのずれや圧力による変形に
対して元の形状に戻り易く、柔軟性があるので肌触りが
よい。
【００２５】コアが中高である物品では、トップシート
が幅方向へ容易に伸長するので、コアの中高な部位を圧
迫することなく柔軟弾性を維持する。
【００２６】したがって、本発明に係る体液吸収性物品
によれば、物品の肌当接面が身体局部の陰唇に密着し、
体液が吸収面と身体局部の肌との間から漏れることを防
ぐことができる。

Claims (4)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 互いに並行して長手方向へ延びる一対の
    側縁を有する吸液性コアと、前記コアの上面を被覆する
    透液性トップシートと、前記コアの下面を被覆する不透
    液性バックシートとを備えた体液吸収性物品であって、 前記トップシートには、少なくとも前記コアを被覆する
    領域の一部に幅方向へ連続して波状に起伏し、前記長手
    方向へ延びる複数の凹部と凸部とが形成されていること
    を特徴とする前記物品。
  2. 【請求項２】 前記凹部から前記凸部までの高さが、
    １．５〜１０．０ｍｍの範囲にあり、かつ、互いに隣接
    する前記凸部の間隔が、１．０〜１５．０ｍｍの範囲に
    ある請求項１記載の体液吸収性物品。
  3. 【請求項３】 前記コアと前記トップシートとが、前記
    コアの両側縁近傍において前記長手方向へ延びる圧搾条
    溝により互いに接合されている請求項１または請求項２
    記載の体液吸収性物品。
  4. 【請求項４】 前記コアの中央領域が、該コアの周辺領
    域よりも高く形成されている請求項１または請求項２記
    載の体液吸収性物品。
