- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.被分析物を結合拘束するための捕捉領域を規定する検定材料と、ケーシング とで構成され、このケーシングが、 検定材料を閉じ込める中空ハウジングと、 尿流から直接供給される尿がケーシングに入って検定材料と接触できるように するための尿入り口ポートと、 捕捉領域を観察するために尿入り口ポートから離れた位置に設けられた窓と、 尿入り口ポートを経てケーシングに入る過剰な尿がケーシングから出られよう にして水圧に起因するケーシングの溢れを最小限に抑制するための少なくとも1 つの排水通気口と、 を有する尿流中の被分析物の存在を検出するための器具。 2.検定材料が尿を吸収移送可能な捕捉領域から離れた位置に配置された尿サン プル供給領域を規定する吸収材料で構成される請求項1記載の器具。 3.尿を吸収移送可能な捕捉領域から離れた位置に配置された尿サンプル供給領 域を規定する吸収材料からなる検定材料と、 ケーシングとで構成され、このケーシングが、 検定材料を閉じ込める空洞ハウジングと、 尿流から直接供給される尿がケーシングに入って検定材料と接触できるように する尿入り口ポートと、 捕捉領域を観察するために尿入り口ポートから離れた位置に 形成されり窓と、 尿入り口ポートを経てケーシングに入る過剰な尿がケーシングから出ることが できるようにして、水圧に起因するケーシングの溢れを最小限に抑制するための 少なくとも1つの排水通気口と、 を有し、 検定材料は、尿流が尿入り口ポートを経て尿サンプル供給領域に向った時に被 分析物が吸収移送によって検定材料に沿って移動し、捕捉領域に拘束されるよう に、ケーシング内に配置されている、尿流中の被分析物の存在を検出するための 器具。 4.ケーシングが尿入り口ポートの周りに間隔を保って配置された3個の排水開 口部を形成する請求項1、2または3に記載の器具。 5.窓が尿入り口ポートと反対側のケーシング側部に位置する請求項1、2また は3記載の器具。 6.水の力で移動された尿がケーシングを溢れさせるのを抑制するためのケーシ ング内に位置するダムを形成するリブ部材を有する請求項1、2または3記載の 器具器具。 7.ケーシングの内側表面がリブを規定する請求項6記載の器具。 8.外側ケーシングと、この外側ケーシング内に閉じ込められた検定材料とを有 し、 外側ケーシングが、 検定材料を受ける中空ハウジングと、 尿流から直接供給された尿がケーシングに入ることができるようにケーシング の先端近くに配置された尿入り口ポートと、 検定材料上の捕捉領域を観察するためのケーシングの基部近くに配置された窓 と、 尿入り口ポートを経てケーシングに入る尿がケーシングから出ることができる ようにして、水圧に起因するケーシングの溢れを最小限に抑制する少なくとも1 つの排水通気口とを有し、 ケーシング内に閉じ込められた検定材料が、 流体入り口ポートの近くに配置され且つそれと流体連通した尿サンプル供給領 域と、 被分析物を拘束する窓の近くに配置された被分析物捕捉領域と、 尿サンプル供給領域と被分析物捕捉領域との間を吸収によって液体サンプルを 移送するための流体通路と を規定し、 尿流が尿入り口ポートを経て尿サンプル供給領域へ向った時に、被分析物が吸 収移送によって流路に沿って捕捉領域まで移動し、そこで被分析物が捕捉領域に 拘束されるようになっている尿流における被分析物の存在を検出するための器具 。 9.ケーシングが、尿入り口ポートの周りに間隔を開けて配置 された3つの排水開口部を規定する請求項8記載の器具。 10.窓が尿入り口ポートと反対側のケーシング側部に位置する請求項8記載の器 具。 11.被分析物を結合拘束するための捕捉領域を規定する検定材料と、ケーシング とを有し、このケーシングが、 検定材料を閉じ込める中空ハウジングと、 尿流から直接供給される尿がケーシングに入って検定材料と接触できるように するための尿入り口ポートと、 捕捉領域を観察するための窓と を有し、さらに、尿が尿入り口ポートを経て尿流から検定材料へ直接供給される ことによって間違ったテスト結果が発生する頻度を減らすために、水圧に起因す る器具の溢れを抑制するためのケーシングによって規定される手段を有すること を特徴とする、尿流における被分析物の存在を検出するための器具。 12.溢れを抑制するための手段が、尿入り口ポートを経てケーシングに入る過剰 の尿がケーシングから出ることができるように、水圧を散逸させる少なくとも1 つの排水通気口を有する請求項11に記載の器具。 13.水圧で駆動された尿がケーシングを溢れさせることを抑制するためにケーシ ング内に配置されたダムを形成するリブ部材を有する請求項12に記載の器具。 14.ケーシングの内側表面がリブを形成する請求項13に記載の器具。 15.被分析物を含む可能性のある尿流中の被分析物の存在を検出するための方法 において、請求項1、3または8に記載の器具を使用する改良された方法。 16.下記(1)〜(3)からなることを特徴とする、尿流中の被分析物の存在を検出す る器具の製造方法: (1) 被分析物を拘束するための捕捉領域を有する検定材料を用意し、 (2) 検定材料を受ける中空ハウジングと、尿流から直接供給される尿がケーシン グに入って検定材料と接触できるようにする尿入り口ポートと、捕捉領域を観察 するために尿入り口ポートから離れた位置に配置された窓と、尿入り口ポートを 経てケーシングに入る過剰な尿がケーシングから出ることができるようにして水 圧に起因するケーシングの溢れを最小限に抑制するための少なくとも1つの排水 通気口とで構成されるケーシングを用意し、 (3) ケーシング内に検定材料を閉じ込める。
