Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.タンク内の生産物の高さを測定するため、2線式プロセス制御ループに接 続されたレベル送信機であって、 タンク内に指向されたマイクロ波アンテナと、 マイクロ波アンテナ経由でマイクロ波信号をタンク内へ送信する低電力マイク ロ波発生源と、 タンクから反射マイクロ波信号を受信するための低電力マイクロ波受信機と、 前記発生源と受信機とに接続され、マイクロ波信号の送信を開始させ、かつ受 信信号に基づいて生産物の高さを決定する測定回路と、 生産物の高さに関する情報を前記ループ経由で送信するように、2線式プロセ ス制御ループに接続された出力回路と、 2線式プロセス制御ループに接続され、前記ループから電力を受け取ってレベ ル送信機に電力を供給する電力供給回路とから成るレベル送信機。 2.前記測定回路が、マイクロ波信号の送信と反射マイクロ波信号の受信との 間の遅延時間を測定することを特徴とする請求項1記載のレベル送信機。 3.前記測定回路が、前記発生源に接続されて、マイクロ波信号を第1クロッ ク速度で周期的に開始させる第1クロックを備えたことを特徴とする請求項1記 載のレベル送信機。 4.前記測定回路は、さらに、前記受信機に接続されて、受信信 号を第2クロック速度で周期的にゲート操作する第2クロックを備え、前記測定 回路は、受信信号の受信および、第1クロック速度と第2クロック速度との差に 基づいて、生産物の高さを決定することを特徴とする請求項3記載のレベル送信 機。 5.前記第2クロック速度が、第1クロック速度と速度差の和に基づいて設定 されることを特徴とする請求項4記載のレベル送信機。 6.前記第1クロック速度がほぼ1.0MHzと4.0MHzの間であり、前 記第1クロック速度と第2クロック速度の差がほぼ10Hzと40Hzの間であ ることを特徴とする請求項4記載のレベル送信機。 7.前記プロセス制御ループは4〜20mAプロセス制御ループであることを 特徴とする請求項1記載のレベル送信機。 8.さらに、マイクロ波受信機に接続された第2のマイクロ波アンテナを備え たことを特徴とする請求項1記載のレベル送信機。 9.さらに、受信マイクロ波信号を受け取って、第2クロック速度に応じてゲ ート操作された出力を発生するインパルス受信機を備えたことを特徴とする請求 項4記載のレベル送信機。 10.さらに、レベル送信機の回路を収容した固有安全性のハウジングを備え たことを特徴とする請求項1記載のレベル送信機。 11.前記マイクロ波アンテナが、マイクロ波信号を伝送するように、タンク 内まで延びた細長いマイクロ波プローブであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の レベル送信機。
