Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. キャビティを形成し、出力レーザー光パルスとしてキャビティ内に発生さ せられた光の少なくとも一部をもたらす光学システム、 上記キャビティ内にレーザーゲイン媒体を収容するためのセル、 上記セル内に収容されたレーザーゲイン媒体を励起するために上記キャビ ティに隣接して配置されたフラッシュランプ、 レーザー光パルスの持続時間の間、少なくとも1回上記セル内のゲイン媒 体を新しいゲイン媒体と置換するために上記セルを介して上記ゲイン媒体を循環 させるための上記セルに流体連通したサーキュレーターおよび、 上記サーキュレーターがレーザー光パルスの持続時間を1msec以上に延ば すために、上記セルを介してゲイン媒体を循環させている間、レーザーゲイン媒 体を励起するようにフラッシュランプをトリガーするためのコントローラー を備えたフラッシュランプ励起パルス色素レーザー装置。 2. キャビティを形成し、出力レーザー光パルスとしてキャビティ内に発生さ せられた光の少なくとも一部をもたらす光学システム、 上記キャビティ内にレーザーゲイン媒体を収容するためのセル、 上記セル内に収容されたレーザーゲイン媒体を励起するために上記キャビ ティに隣接したフラッシュランプ、 上記セルを介して上記ゲイン媒体を循環させるための上記セルに流体連通 したサーキュレーター、 上記サーキュレーターが上記セル内にてレーザーゲイン媒体を循環させて いる間上記レーザーゲイン媒体を励起させるように上記フラッシュランプをトリ ガーするためのコントローラーであって、出力レーザー光パルスの発生の間、少 なくとも部分的に使い果たされたゲイン媒体を新しいゲイン媒体と置換すること 、上記セル内の循環していないレーザーゲイン媒体が使い果たされ、出力レーザ ー光をクエンチさせる持続時間の間フラッシュランプがレーザーゲイン媒体を励 起することを可能にするコントローラーおよび、 上記キャビティから患者の組織に出力レーザー光パルスを伝送するための 医療デリバリーシステム を備えた治療用パルス光を発生するフラッシュランプ励起パルス色素レーザーシ ステム。 3. 上記コントローラーが、少なくとも5msecまで出力レーザー光パルスの持 続時間を延ばすように上記フラッシュランプおよびサーキュレーターを働かせる 請求項1または2に記載のフラッシュランプ励起パルス色素レーザー装置。 4. 上記ゲイン媒体が、50ジュールより少ないエネルギーの出力レーザー光 パルスを発生する請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のフラッシュランプ励起パル ス色素レーザー装置。 5. 上記ゲイン媒体が、20ジュールより少ないエネルギーの出力レーザー光 パルスを発生する請求項1から4のいずれかに記載のフラッシュランプ励起パル ス色素レーザー装置。 6. 上記ゲイン媒体が、少なくとも0.5ジュールのエネルギーの出力レーザ ー光パルスを発生する請求項1から5のいずれかに記載のフラッシュランプ励起 パルス色素レーザー装置。 7. 上記サーキュレーターが、上記出力レーザー光パルスの持続時間の間、少 なくとも2回、上記色素セルのゲイン媒体を新しいゲイン媒体と置換する請求項 1から6のいずれかに記載のフラッシュランプ励起パルス色素レーザー装置。 8. 上記サーキュレーターが、上記キャビティの長手方向軸を横切る方向に上 記セルを通して上記ゲイン媒体を循環させる請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の フラッシュランプ励起パルス色素レーザー装置。 9. 上記サーキュレーターが、上記キャビティの長手方向軸に平行な方向に上 記セルを通して上記ゲイン媒体を循環させる請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の フラッシュランプ励起パルス色素レーザー装置。 10. 複数の媒体入口ポートが上記セルに沿って長手方向に設けられ、 上記媒体入口ポートが上記サーキュレーターから上記ゲイン媒体を受取る請求項 1から9のいずれかに記載のフラッシュランプ励起パルス色素レーザー装置。 11. 複数の媒体出口ポートが上記セルに沿って長手方向に設けられ、 上記媒体出口ポートが少なくとも部分的に使い果たされたゲイン媒体が上記キャ ビティから出てゆくのを可能にする請求項1から10のいずれかに記載のフラッ シュランプ励起パルス色素レーザー装置。 12. フラッシュランプでキャビティ内の最初の色素溶液を励起するこ と、 少なくとも部分的に上記最初の色素溶液を使い果たすように励起された上 記最初の色素溶液で上記キャビティからレーザー光出力パルスを発生すること、 少なくとも部分的に使い果たされた上記キャビティ内の上記最初の色素溶 液の少なくともいくらかを、上記レーザー光出力パルスの持続時間の間、新しい 色素溶液と置換すること、そして、 キャビティセル内の上記最初の色素溶液が使い果たされ、そしてもしも置 換されなければ上記出力レーザー光パルスをクエンチさせるであろう時間を超え て上記レーザー光出力パルスの持続時間を延ばすように上記レーザー光出力パル スの持続時間の間、上記キャビティ内の新しい色素溶液を励起すること を含むフラッシュランプ励起パルス色素レーザー装置の操作方法。 13. さらに、上記レーザー光出力パルスを患者の組織に届けることを 含む請求項12に記載の方法。 14. さらに、上記出力レーザー光パルスの持続時間を少なくとも5ms ecに延ばすように上記色素溶液を置換することを含む請求項12または13に記 載の方法。 15. さらに、上記レーザー光出力パルスの間、上記共振キャビティ内 の上記色素溶液を少なくとも1回置換することを含む請求項12から14のいず れかに記載の方法。 16. 色素レーザー装置からのレーザー光出力パルスの振幅を検出する ためのセンサーおよび、 上記センサーにより検出された振幅に応答して上記色素レーザー装置のポ ンピング装置に供給するパワーを制御することにより上記レーザー光出力パルス の振幅を調節するために上記センサーに応答するドライバー回路 を備えた色素レーザー用ポンピング装置ドライバー。 17. 上記ドライバー回路がフラッシュランプを調節する請求項16に 記載のポンピング装置ドライバー。 18. 上記ドライバー回路がレーザ装置を調節する請求項16または1 7に記載のポンピング装置ドライバー。 19. 上記ドライバー回路がレーザー光出力パルスの持続時間を定める トリガー信号を受取る請求項16から18のいずれかに記載のポンピング装置ド ライバー。 20. 上記ドライバー回路が、上記トリガー信号と、上記レーザー光出 力パルスの振幅を示す上記センサーからの強度信号とを結合する請求項19に記 載のポンピング装置ドライバー。 21. 上記ドライバー回路が、上記パルスの持続時間の間、上記ポンピ ング装置へのパワーを能動的に調節する請求項16から20のいずれかに記載の ポンピング装置ドライバー。 22. 上記ドライバー回路が、一定振幅のパルスを発生するように上記 ポンピング装置へのパワーを調節する請求項16から21のいずれかに記載のポ ンピング装置ドライバー。 23. レーザーのゲイン媒体をポンピングすること、 上記レーザー光出力パルスの振幅を検出すること、 上記検出された振幅と上記パルスの持続時間の関数として上記パルスの所 望の振幅を示すトリガー信号とを比較すること、 上記検出された振幅と上記トリガー信号との比較に応じて上記ゲイン媒体 のポンピングを調節すること を含むパルスの間の色素レーザー装置からのレーザ光パルスの振幅を制御する方 法。 24. さらに実質的に一定の振幅のトリガー信号を発生する請求項23 に記載の方法。
