Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.作用剤を含有し、作用剤をそこから体表に投与する投与面積を有するド ナー溜め(26、46)と、さらに電源(32)と、溜め(26、46)及び体 表にパルス化電気的移送式電流を供給するために適合した電流制御装置(19、 40)とを有し、該パルス化電流が周期的な電流波形を有するデバイス(10) であって、投与効率(E)が電気的移送式供給電流の単位当たりの体表を通して 投与される作用剤の速度に等しいときに、高い電気的移送式作用剤投与効率(E )で体表を通して作用剤を投与するための電気的移送式デバイス(10)におい て、 該波形の一部が、投与面積で除されたときに、臨界電流密度レベルIc上であ る電流密度を臨界時間tc以上である時間にわたって生じるような電流の大きさ を有し、Ic以上の電気的移送式電流密度を体表に少なくともtc程度の長さの期 間にわたって供給するときに、体表が高い電気的移送式作用剤投与効率(E)を 示すことを特徴とするデバイス(10)。 2.作用剤投与効率(E)が臨界レベル(Ic)を越える電流密度ではより 安定であり、臨界レベル(Ic)未満の電流密度ではあまり安定でない、請求項 1記載のデバイス。 3.デバイス(10)がヒト皮膚に装着されるのに適し、制御装置(19、 40)が少なくとも40μA/cm2の電流密度を供給する、請求項1記載のデ バイス。 4.作用剤がフェンタニールであり、制御装置(19、40)が少なくとも 40μA/cm2の電流密度を少なくとも約10msecの期間にわたって供給 する、請求項1記載のデバイス。 5.作用剤がゴセレリンであり、制御装置(19、40)が、少なくとも約 10msecの期間にわたって供給される少なくとも約50μA/cm2の電流 密度を生じるように電流波形を制御する、請求項1記載のデバイス。 6.tcが少なくとも5msecである、請求項1記載のデバイス。 7.波形の他の部分がIcより小さい第2電流密度を生じる電流の大きさを 有する、請求項1記載のデバイス。 8.第2電流密度が実質的に零である、請求項7記載のデバイス。 9.作用剤投与速度を変えるために、制御装置(19、40)がパルス化電 気的移送式電流のデューティサイクルを調節することができる、請求項7記載の デバイス。 10.作用剤投与速度を変えるために、制御装置(19、40)がパルス化 電気的移送式電流の周波数を調節することができる、請求項7記載のデバイス。 11.ドナー溜めが意図的に加えられた競合種を含有する、請求項1記載の デバイス。 12.制御装置(19、40)がパルス化電気的移送式電流の周波数を、1 00Hz未満の範囲内の周波数に制御する、請求項1記載のデバイス。 13.制御装置(19、40)がパルス化電気的移送式電流の周波数を、1 0Hz未満の範囲内の周波数に制御する、請求項1記載のデバイス。 14.作用剤を含有し、作用剤をそこから体表に投与する投与面積を有する するドナー溜め(26、46)と、さらに電源(32)と、溜め(26、46) 及び体表にパルス化電気的移送式電流を供給するために適合した電流制御装置( 19、40)とを有し、該パルス化電流が周期的な電流波形を有するデバイス( 10)であって、投与効率(E)が電気的移送式供給電流の単位当たりの体表を 通して投与される作用剤の速度に等しいときに、高い電気的移送式作用剤投与効 率(E)で体表を通して作用剤を投与する電気的移送式デバイス(10)を操作 する方法において、 パルス化電気的移送式電流波形を、投与面積で除されたときに、臨界電流密度 レベルIc以上である電流密度を、臨界時間tc以上である時間にわたって生じる ような電流の大きさを有する波形の一部を有するように制御する工程を含み、臨 界電流密度レベルIc以上である電気的移送式電流密度を体表に少なくともtc程 度の長さの期間にわたって供給するときに、体表が高い電気的移送式作用剤投与 効率(E)を示すことを特徴とする方法。 15.作用剤投与効率(E)が臨界レベル(Ic)を越える電流密度では大 きい安定性であり、臨界レベル(Ic)未満の電流密度では低い安定性である、 請求項14記載の方法。 16.デバイスがヒト皮膚に装着されるのに適し、制御装置(19、40) が少なくとも40μA/cm2の電流密度を供給する、請求項14記載の方法。 17.作用剤がフェンタニールであり、制御装置(19、40)が少なくと も40μA/cm2の電流密度を少なくとも約10msecの期間にわたって供 給する、請求項14記載の方法。 18.電気的移送式電流が約100Hz未満のパルス周波数を有する、請求 項14記載の方法。 19.電気的移送式電流が約10Hz未満のパルス周波数を有する、請求項 14記載の方法。 20.パルス化電気的移送式駆動電流が約100%未満のデューティサイク ルを有する、請求項14記載の方法。 21.体表がヒト皮膚を含み、Icが少なくとも約40μA/cm2である、 請求項14記載の方法。 22.作用剤がフェンタニールであり、体表がヒト皮膚であり、限界レベル が少なくとも約10msecの期間にわたって供給される少なくとも約40μA /cm2の電流密度である、請求項14記載の方法。 23.作用剤がゴセレリンであり、限界レベルが少なくとも約10msec の期間にわたって供給される少なくとも約50μA/cm2の電流密度である、 請求項14記載の方法。 24.パルス化電流がデューティサイクルを有し、作用剤投与速度を変える ために、方法がパルス化電流のデューティサイクルを変えることを含む工程を包 含する、請求項14記載の方法。 25.パルス化電流が周波数を有し、作用剤投与速度を変えるために、方法 がパルス化電流の周波数を変えることを含む工程を包含する、請求項14記載の 方法。 26.ドナー溜め(26、46)に競合種を加えることを包含する、請求項 14記載の方法。
