Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain fibers with improved permeability and mechanical strength by crosslinking hollow fibers based on polyvinyl alcohol with a polyvalent aldehyde in a reaction medium, treating them hot water and then treating them in a wet state with a water-miscible organic solvent.
