Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of dehydration and to facilitate the effective utilization of waste heat in the dehydration of brown coal to prepare a fuel or a raw material for the coal liquefaction, by preheating a slurry comprising the brown coal and a solvent by a heat-exchanger, separating the slurry into gas and liquid after heating, and using the generated steam as a heat source of the preheating.
