Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the transversal thermal stress in a coil conductor and thereby to enable the production of larger coils, by fitting a double-wall cooling pipe to the conductor and flowing a coolant in reverse directions along the pipe so that the transversal temperature gradient of the conductor is reduced.
