Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a pick-up head compact and simple, by arranging the head such that a plurality of arms carrying so-called "needle cloth" at the top are opened and closed with each forward stroke of a rod, thereby grasping and feeding sheet- like materials correctly one by one.
CONSTITUTION: At the lower end of casing 1, there is provided a freely opened pick base 15 which carries "needle cloth" 22 at the top, and a freely slidable rod 8 is fitted in the casing 1. The pick base 15 is opened and closed alternately with each one stroke of rod 8 by means of control unit 25 to grasp and release sheet-like materials 100. The control unit 25 consists of a first spring 26, rotor 27, rotor guide 30, ball 32 and a second spring 33. When rod 8 is pushed downward against the force of the first spring 26, rotor 27 is turned. At the same time rod 8 is locked tightly and force acted by ball 32 to support portion 21 is controlled, thereby grasping and releasing the material 100.
