Abstract

PURPOSE: To reset needles of a watch without standard watch by resetting the needles based on the data stored at needle operating time.

CONSTITUTION: When the stem of a watch is used to turn needles of the watch so as to set a mode switch 37 to set time of alarm time or the like, the indicated position data at the time is latched to latch circuits 80, 81. After finishing the set, the switch 37 is released. Then, when a return key 70 is depressed, arithmetic circuits 82, 83 of a resetting circuit 102 calculate the sum of the time counting value of correcting counter 78 as to the period from the closure of the switch 37 to the release thereof and stored content of the circuits 80, 81 to apply it to a comparator 77. In the meantime, the needle position data are applied from needle position detecting converter 38, 39 due to the rotation of the needles by a timing counter 8 and drive circuit 9 to the comparator 77 to drive the needles until the compared content of the comparator 77 becomes zero. Accordingly, the needles can be reset without standard watch.
