PURPOSE:To prevent adherence of dust to a septum valve attached to a pipe line for a blast furnace exhaust gas so as to control furnace top press. correctly, by installing water spray nozzles at the septum valve and inside of the pipe for blast furnace exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:A hollow flow path is formed at inside of a septum valve 1 attached to a pipe line 2 for blast furnace exhaust gas. The valve 1 is provided with a nozzle for spraying water from the periphery 12 of the valve along the end periphery, and with a nozzle forming a water flow along the valve surface to the center of the valve. Another nozzle 3 is installed at the inside of the pipe 2 through which water is sprayed in the region with which the valve body 1 comes into contact when opened or closed. Hereby, dust adherence to the valve is prevented, so that blast furance top pressure can be easily controlled.
