Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for the dry discharge of residue, etc. from a furnace or stove, wherein facilites connecting a lower portion of the furnace with a storage tank have a closed construction in which steam or incombustible gas is filled to retain a pressure higher than that in a furnace, so that leakage of gas in the furnace is prevented.
CONSTITUTION: At a bottom of a dry stove 10 are arranged quantitative discharge valves 30a, 30b, 30c, 30d for taking out residue from the dry stove 10, and below said quantitative discharge valves is arranged a residue discharge conveyor 32 to the forward end of which is attached a residue storage tank 34. The facilities connecting the quantitative discharge valves 30a, 30b, 30c, 30d with the residue storage tank 34 are closed by a casing 36 which is provided with a spray nozzle 40, a steam generator 42, a pressure detector 44, a flow rate control valve 46 and a pressure adjuster 48 by which the pressure within the casing 36 can be maintained higher than the pressure within the dry distillation furnace 10.
