Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform positioning of a movable head more surely and achieve higher reliability of the apparatus by setting control constants based on the fators relating to the positioning of the head and retrial times.
CONSTITUTION: A disc apparatus 1 supplies the temperature information 2 and voltage information 3 in the apparatus to a coefficient generating circuit 4, by which the coefficients corresponding to input information are generated and are inputted to a reference speed generating circuit 5. According to the reference speed, the position control of a movable head is accomplished by a circuit 6. When the positioning was not accurately accomplished, a logic circuit 7 commands retrial and 1 is added to the retrial times. This causes the circuit 4 to generate a coefficient smaller than the previously generated coefficient and transmits the same to the circuit 5, whereby the position control of the movable head based on the slower reference speed of the circuit 5 is accomplished. The similar control is repeated until the correct positioning is accomplished.
