CONSTITUTION: Diode 36 is used in case the forced ignition voltage setting circuit has the forced ignition action when switch element 30 is conducting. In this case, the forced ignition action does not give any effect to the forced ignition power supply circuit owing to diode 35. ON the other hand, the forced ignition power supply circuit flows the gate current to main thyristor 4 from capacitor 22 through diode 35 when auxiliary thyristor 31 has ignition. And the effect to the forced ignition voltage setting circuit can be blocked by diode 36 although the charging voltage of capacitor 22 features a comparatively high level before ignition of thyristor 31. As a result, the charging voltage of 22 can be selected in a comparatively free way regardless of the characteristics of element 30.
