Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable crystals to be taken out of a fractional crystallizer in the form of solid by making the bottom cover of the press. vessel, separable from the body, for facilitating crystallization of a specified component and by setting filters to draw mother liquor from the system.
CONSTITUTION: A raw material mixt. contg. two or more components is supplied into press. vessel 4 through line 14 with pump 13. Valve 17 is closed, and the mixt. is pressurized by lowering piston 7 in the arrow direction. After facilitating crystallization of a specified component valves 21, 26 are opened, and press. regulator 22 is regulated to discharge mother liquor in vessel 4 into vessel 25 through filters 12a, 12b. Next piston 5 is slightly moved back to reduce the press. inside vessel 4, whereby part of the resulting solid is melted to purify the crystals for themselves. The press. inside vessel 4 is then returned to atmospheric press., piston 7 is lowered to express the solid, thus separating mother liquor among the particles through filters 12a, 12b. Cylinders 6 are actuated to raise vessel 4, and the exposed cake is pushed in the lateral direction with cylinder 10 and pusher 11, and taken out.
