Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the subject process comprising the steps of: impregnating a binder in a sintered carbon material, baking said material to carbonize the binder, and thereafter impregnating a heat-resisting resin in the material, whereby a high-temperature airtight carbon material of excellent heat resistance and chemical resistance as compared with the convertional phenolic resin impregnated carbon material and the like.
