Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a control system for controlling fuel injection timing of diesel engine, in which a movable member for controlling the injection timing and a temperature-sensitive member for detecting the condition of engine operation are engaged operatively with each other for controlling the movable member automatically, whereby ignitability of fuel at the time of starting engine can be improved and operation of the engine can be stabilized.
CONSTITUTION: When a knob 40 connected to arm 11 of injection timing means 4 via cable 44 and rod 39 is pulled to the right in the drawing, top of plunger 37A is inserted into groove 39A and locked therein, whereby cam 10 is turned and thus injection timing is advanced. When temperature of water is raised after key switch 33 is turned on and it is detected that engine is warmed up sufficiently, switch 36 is turned on, whereby solenoid 37 is energized and lock of rod 39 is released and knob 40 is moved to the left. As the result, cam 10 is turned to the right and hydraulic piston 9 and arm 19 are urged toward arm 11, whereby fuel injection timing is delayed and thus injection timing is controlled automatically
