Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain excellent frequency-temperature characteristics by improving the electrodes structure of thickness-width slip crystal vibrator to reduce the equivalent impedance, and by properly combining the cut-out angle and dimension. CONSTITUTION:In a thickness-width slip crystal vibrator of which Y plate is cut out from a plate rotated 34 deg. to 36 deg. about X-axis as rotation axis, two electrodes or plural electrodes 9, 10 are provided on the main surface verical to Y-axis, and another two electrodes 11, 12 of reverse polarity each other are provided on the opposing face. In this setup, excitation in the vibration mode of (1,1,1) is possible, so that the equivalent impedance may be reduced. In addition, by rotating the side face of the vibrator by -49 deg. to -52 deg. from Z-axis and by making the side ratio of the vibrator smaller than 0.3, excellent frequency- temperature characteristics may be obtained.
