Abstract

PURPOSE: To accomplish the counting operation of the discharge times of an impulse current and the detection of a system short-circuiting current by contstructing two circuits, which are composed of a reactance and a rectifying circuit, at the secondary side of a saturated type transformer which has it primary conductor connected between the gas gap and the ground.
CONSTITUTION: A saturated transformer 1 has its primary conductor 2 connected between a gas gap G and the earth and has its secondary side equipped with an inpulse current counting circuit I and a cynamic current detecting circuit II at its respective windings 3a and 3b having the same turns. The winding 3a is connected with a lightning arrester 4, a parallel reactor 5a and a rectifier 7a, which has its DC sice connected with an impulse current counting portion 8a having a parallel connection including a capacitor 9a and a counter 10a. On the other hand, the winding 3b is connected through a parallel reactor 5b and a series reactor 6a having a much higher inductance with a reactifier 7b, which has its DC side connected with a dynamic current detecting portion 8b having a parallel connection including a capacitor 9b and a relay 10a
