Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an emergency communication system for elevator, which actuates a recording and reproducing means and gives announcement to the inside of cage automatically when passengers are confined in the cage by some trouble or other and any response is not given from supervisor's room or the like to the call from the cage for more than a certain period of time, so as to uneasiness of passengers confined in the cage.
CONSTITUTION: If some trouble is caused with elevator and switch 4 is operated by a passenger in the cage to get communication with the outside of the cage, holding circuit 6 is set into operation and oscillation circuit 8 is operated via switch 7 to call out a supervisor or other person from speaker 9. When transmitter-receiver 13 is put up the suspervisor in response to the call ?from the cage, switch 7 is turned over and amplifiers 11, 12 are set into operation, whereby communication between the inside and the outside of the cage is enabled by means of transmitter- receiver 13, receiver 2 and transmitter 3. On the other hand, if transmitter-receiver 13 is not taken up by the superviosor and any response is not given from the supervisor, switch 4 is energized and timer circuit 14 is set into operation after passing of a certain predetermined time period, whereby a proper message is is given to passengers in the cage from speaker 5 by the operation of recording and reproducing means 15
