Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate uneven fixing in the toner image on recording paper by rotating a fixing rotary body and the rotary body formed as a heat pipe roller in a pressure rotary body which are rotating in contact with each other, at all times throughout paper passing time and standby time.
CONSTITUTION: A heat pipe roller 1 comprises sealing heat transfer fluid 6 such as water, oil or other between an inner cylinder 3 and an outer cylinder 4, being heated by the heating means 7 provided in the hollow part of the inner cylinder 3 and evenly heating the surface of the outer cylinder 4 with the vapor evaporated from part of said fluid. Said roller is rotated by being contacted with a pressure roller 2. Arrangement is so made that when the toner images are to be fixed on recording paper 12 by passing between said rollers, the rollers 1, 2 rotate at all times throughout paper passing time and standby time.
