Abstract
PURPOSE:To control automatically the volume of air for combustion use in a burner made of a thermally responsive material wherein a thermally responsive piece for increasing and decreasing the area of an air port with the calorific power of the burner is provided. CONSTITUTION:Air for combustion use is intorduced to the bottom of a burner 1 through an air-feed pipe 27 by means of a fan 26. The air is led from an outer periphery of the burner 1 to primary air ports 11. 12 in a vaporizing chamber 7 and a mixing chamber 8, and a secondary air port 13 in a combustion chamber 10. Each air port is cut in an I-chaped form, seeing from a side of the burner 1. Thermally responsive pieces 28, 29 comprising plate alloys of different coefficients of thermal expansion are adhesively attached to the air port in the form of a double door. The thermally responsive pieces 28, 29 curve in the direction of arrows P as the temperature of the burner 1 increases with an increase in calorific power, and automatically increasing the volume of air for cumbustion.
