Abstract
PURPOSE: To control the air suction to a proper level thereby to make the idle r.p.m. proper by subjecting the input information indicative of the r.p.m. of an engine and the load condition thereof to an operating treatment so that the data thus process are compared with their respective reference values.
CONSTITUTION: The intake pipe 26 of an electronic injection type internal combustion engine 30 is equipped with an air flow meter 14, an intake temperature sensor 16, a bypass passage 46 having an air regulator 48, an exhaust gas recirculation passage 28, and an injector 66. An exhaust pipe 76 is equipped with a catalyst converter 82 having an oxygen sensor 80 and exhaust gas temperature sensor 84. A combustion chamber 34 is equipped with an ignition plug 36 which is connected with a distributor 38. A crank chamber is equipped with an r.p.m. sensor 98. The signals from those sensors are fed to a control circuit 10, in which they are compared for inspection with reference values. Thus, the openings of the air regulator 48 and the injector 66 are so controlled as to be proper for idling
