Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a polyolefin adhesive tape usable for many grades without causing creases, by rewinding a wide and long adhesive tape previously formed into films of a smaller size with its back subjected to corona discharge treatment.
CONSTITUTION: An adhesive e.g. a synthetic rubber, etc. is coated on a polyolefin film such as polyethylene, etc. to form a wide and continuous adhesive tape. The back of the tape thus obtained is treated by corona discharge of 40W50 dyne/cm to improve a strength between the film and its back, slit and bond wound onto cardboard cores of a given small size to give the desived adhesire tape
