Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the rectifying magnetic flux when a detected voltage exceeds a given positive value with a detection brush adapted to detect the voltage the moment the brush separates from a commutator piece.
CONSTITUTION: A drop in contact voltage between a brush 3 and a commutator 2 is detected with a brush 3 and a detection brush 4 and the voltage thus detected is inputted to a comparator 10. The comparator 10 outputs a signal respectively to a command circuit 11 for increasing magnetism at the interpole and a command circuit 12 for reducing magnetism at the interpole when the polarity of the voltage detected is possitive or negative. An output signal of the command circuits 11 and 12 is inputted to a device 13 for reducing magnetism of excited coil of an auxiliary interpole. When a magnetism increasing command is fed, current flows through an auxiliary interpole coil 9 so that a magnetomotive force is produced in the same direction as that of the interpole coil 8. When a magnetism reducing command is fed, current flows through the auxiliary interpole coil 9 so that the magnetomotive force is produced in the opposite direction to the interpole 8. This makes possible a proper adjustment of the rectifying magnetic flux
