Abstract

PURPOSE: To form the photoreceptor for electrophotography to the high sensitivity which may be sufficiently put to practical use by containing specific sensitizers to the photosensitive layer containing photoconductive high molecular substance and charge carrier generating pigments.
CONSTITUTION: Charge carrier generating pigments such as copper phthalocyanine, photoconductive high polymer substance such as poly-N-vinylcarbazole and sensitizers such as indenothiophenes of the formula I (X is thiophene nuclei; n1 is 0 to 2; n2 is 0, 1), fluorenones of the formula II (n1 is 1, 2; n2 is 1 to 3), indenothiophenes of the formula III (X is halogen; R is H, nitro), fluorenones of the formula IV, dibenzothiophenes of the formula V (n, m are 0 to 2; m' is 1, 2, R, R' are electron withdrawing groups) are dissolved or dispersed in a suitable solvent and the solution is coated on a conductive base, after which it is dried.
