Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a vertical catalytic reactor which can be loaded with boxes or from which the boxes can be unloaded simply and efficiently, by equipping the vertical catalytic reactor having inlet and outlet for fluid to be treated with means for taking in and out the boxed packed with a catalyst or an adsorbent through a side manhole made at upper part in order to form multilayer catalyst or adsorbent regularly in the reactor. CONSTITUTION:A box 5 described above and hanged by a hoist 6, which travels on a cylindircal fixed beam 7 and a cylindrical connecting beam 8, is taken into the reactor vessel 1 through a manhole 4, then hanged down without delay from a cylindrical main beam 9. The hoist 6 from which the box 5 is suspended travels on the beam 9. and transfers the box 5 at need to a hoist 11 hanged down from a cylindrical sub- beam 10, and the hoist 11 is moved just above the position intended for the box 5. Hereafter, the box 5 is lowered slowly onto the pedestal installed at lower part of the vessel 1 to form a reaction zone 12. The pedestal is pref. a latticed board supported by cylindrical support beams 14. The vessel 1 has an inlet or outlet 2, or outlet or inlet 3 for the fluid to be treated.
