Abstract

PURPOSE:To collect lumps having been not fluidized on the lower end of an apparatus and to discharge it to the outside, by arranging air-dispersing pipe horizontally on the inclined floor, and by directing the air-jetting openings of the dispersing pipe horizontally or diagonally downward. CONSTITUTION:Fluidizing air flows through air-dispersing pipes 3 and air-jetting openings 4 into a fluidized bed, where it fluidizes the medium 6 to be fluidized. When lump material is present in the fluidizing medium, the material piles up on the furnace floor 2. Because the floor 2 inclines and the air spouting out of the airdispersing pipe 3 flows downward along the furnace floor 2, the piled up material on the furnace floor flows downwared together with fluidizing medium 6 and gathers around a discharge opening 5 for fluidizing medium. Fluidizing medium collected at the discharge opening, of which those with good flow property rises together with air, and only lumps which cannot be fluidized gathers near the discharge opening 5. Because jetting openings face horizontally or diagonally downward, the fluidizing medium 6 never flows into the pipe 3 even when air is not blown out.
