Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a fluidized-bed combustion furnace for solid waste in which the temperature of a fluidized bed is stabilized and the disposal capability is increased by a method wherein a pattern of an air stream is formed in the fluidized bed and the solid waste supplied is caught and burnt in the fluidized bed.
CONSTITUTION: The waste is supplied from a solid waste inlet 1, while the combustion air is sent directly from plural number of nozzles 8 and 8' into a fluidized bed 7 for which silica sand, for instance, is used as a fluid medium. When the height of the fluidized bed 7 is set 50cm or more higher than that of the airing nozzle positioned at the top, the air rises dispersively in the shape of a fan inside the fluidized bed 7. When a circulating inside flow is generated in the fluidized bed 7 in this way, the waste supplied is caught instantaneously in the inside of the bed 7, being pyrolyzed by the heat of the fluid medium and gasified. The char (charcoal) thus produced and a part of waste are burnt by the air sent in, thereby the temperature of the fluid medium being maintained. Combustibles gasified in the fluid medium rise up to a free board part 6 together with the nitrogen gas in the combustion air and there are burnt completely by the secondary air sent in the part.
