Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a head core of good magnetic characteristics and high bonding strength by bonding a side plate and a head chip to laminated metal plates which are so formed as to connect back core parts in a plurality thereafter cutting off the plates.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of mutually connected cores are laminated to a width W of the head core by blanking thin metal plates such as of Permalloy or other to form a back core part 2. A head chip material 5 of Sendust or other and a side plate 6 of a non-magnetic conductor are bonded to the bonding parts 4 thereof, after which the assembly is cut to the core size including the connecting parts 3, 3' of the core 2, whereby the composite type magnetic head core is obtained. Since this obviates the occurrence of the degration of the magnetic characteristics on both side faces of the back core 2 and causes the head chip 5 to be bonded by way of the side plate, magnetic characteristis may be improved and bonding strength increased.
