Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a razor wherein an amorphous metal produced by quenching is subjected to heat treatment thereby to form a crystal metal phase of a stable phase on the outer surface of the cutting edge part, and a coating treatment is applied on said metal, thereby to improve the quality of cutting, durability and corrosion resistance.
CONSTITUTION: An alloy composed of 34 % of Fe, 35% of Ni, 13 % of Cr, 11 % of P and 7 % of B, all percentages showing atomic ratio, is continuously injected in its molten state onto the surface of a metal roll, and rapidly cooled, thereby to prepare a metal strip of 50 % or more of the amorphous phase. With respect to the thus obtained amorphous metal strip, the blade part is subjected to grinder precessing at a temperature of crystallizing only the outer surface of the blade as a razor. Then, the part which has been subjected to grinder processing is further subjected to polyethylene tetrafluoride resin coating treatment. Since the thus obtained shaving blade has a high blade strength, it has an excellent cutting quality and durability, and further has a gentle touch.
