Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable coloring particles to be dispersed easily and uniformly to a satisfactory extent by dispersing the special resin-coated coloring particles into a thermoplastic resin while being heated.
CONSTITUTION: Coloring particles such as carbon black are mixed into a resin particle dispersed liquid such as an aqueous dispersion of stylene resin particles, which is prepared by the emulsion polymerization, thereby to produce resin-coated particles of coloring agent. In this instance, it is desired that a resin particle dispersion is mixed in a quantity of 2 to 40 wt. %, if converted to its resin content, with the coloring agent particles. The coloring agent particles are dispersed, while being heated, into a thermoplastic resin which is either of the same kind as or mutually soluble with the aforementioned resin particles.
