Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the structure by developing a latent image having the level of n-stage with the n-stage developing device.
CONSTITUTION: Receiving the letter signal from letter producer 11 and the color signal from control circuit 12, the latent image forming unit 13 forms the electrostatic latent image having the level of n-stage on recording drum 10. Thereafter, different colored toners are placed into developing devices 14W17 of n sets in number, developing biases of n kinds are allotted successively from low to high voltage, and the toners of the highest n colors are superposed as the n layers in accordance with the electrostatic latent images of n stages. Accordingly, the formed toner layer is transferred by transfer roller 22 on the plain paper 23, then the order of toner layers becomes reverse, so that different colors appear as if they separate. Therefore the multi-print can be obtained by the single step of latent image formation due to the single latent image forming unit only.
