Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture an oriented electrical steel sheet by subjecting a silicon steel contg. Si; 2.5-4.5 % to heat treatment, precipitation treatment and rolling under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:A silicon steel contg. C; 0.03-0.10 %, Si; 2.5-4.5 %, Mn; 0.03-0.12 %, S; 0.01-0.04 %, acid sol. Al<0.02 % and N<50 ppm is poured into an ingot case. The resulting ingot is cooled so that the solidification cooling rate at the central part becomes above 1 deg.C/sec. The solidified ingot is continuously cooled to 600 deg.C at a cooling rate above 0.05 deg.C/sec, reheated to 1000 deg.C, held for 30 min in a furnace, and immediately hot rolled to a 3 mm thick sheet. The sheet is then held for 10 min in a furnace of 900-1200 deg.C and cooled with warm water to carry out precipitation treatment, followed by primary cold rolling at a reduction ratio of 65 %, secondary cold rolling at a reduction ratio of 71 %, process annealing at 850 deg.C, and finish rolling to 0.3 mm thickness. The finish rolled sheet is decarburization annealed, coated with MgO, and hot annealed in a hydrogen atmosphere of 1150 deg.C to give an oriented electrical steel sheet.
