Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the title foam having improved dimensional stability and aurface smoothness, scarcely causing shrinkage with time, by foaming a blend of an amine and a polyolefin resin containing a blowing agent.
CONSTITUTION: 0.1W20 wt. % of an amine of formula (R1 is ≥ 10C hydrocarbon group; R2 is H or ≥ 1C hydrocarbon group), preferably an aliphatic amine is incorporated into a polyolefin resin, e.g. ethylenevinyl acetate copolymer. A volatile organic blowing agent is added to the mixture, and the resulting blend is heated and foamed.
